I had a SJ lesson on my new horse the other day - he is a fab jumper but I have acquired some really awful habits when jumping so it is back to basics for us. My instructor had his little girl with him when teaching - she stays in her pushchair, and is great.
My main bad habit is sitting up too soon when going over the fence, instead of waiting until all 4 feet are on the ground - so my instructor was shouting 'forward' to me as I approached the fence. It was when his little girl started shouting 'forward' at me everytime I cantered towards the fence that I realised a 2 year old was teaching me to ride
Had anyone else had embarrasing things like that? We had a good laugh about it, but was glad not too many people were around at the yard
