I have a Buser update

This is getting really out of hand now and someone that works her arse off is getting all the blame.

Far too many people jump on the wagon and start blaming people and they have no idea on about the situation.

C has worked and stressed her arse off over buster and at the end of the day she was only helping other out with transport, he never went through the AAD charity he was no way link to C she just help like im sure alot of people on here has done in the past.

Agree with this 100%. Hindsight is a wonderful thing, I know of rescue dogs who's
homes have been homechecked etc and still fall foul. People can be very good liars
when needed.

However, how I would love to bump into very LoopyLouise!

Pointing the finger is all very well, but hardly constructive. Personally I feel Vizzy's earlier post Re: organsing home checks for any future forum rehomes has been the most constructive yet (and for the record, I can do Sheffield and surrounding areas).

For those that feel only rescues should rehome dogs, see CC's post. We don't live in a perfect world, hence the abundance of urgent appeals on rescue sites and forums to get dogs shifted quickly.

If we instantly wrote off everyone that made initial contact via the internet then where would we be? What would have happened to the likes of Sandy/Candy who were rehomed over this forum? Not everybody on the internet is unstable. Not everybody on the internet is trustworthy. But it's 2011 people, the internet is here to stay. It can be a minefield (everything can! Are the RSPCA really certain that the lovely middle class couple with the big fenced garden will ever actually take the dog OUT of the garden once they've lost interest?) but it's also an amazing resource if used carefully.

And on the subject of the internet, it's worth mentioning that I've spent hours on the AADNE website, and yet more hours working on the newer snazzy version to go up in the summer. I've never met Cayla, or even spoken to her on the phone. I trusted that her work was genuine because of the threads I've read on this forum. And that trust was well placed because I've since had the privilege of reading those lovely emails where the new owners update on just how happy they and their new family member are. It's been time bloody well spent IMO and I'd never have had the opportunity to help if it wasn't for this forum. Would Galupy have put in all the work and utilised her amazing organisational skills on the calendar if it wasn't for the internet? I doubt it, she lives in America! How we she even know about it?!

So in short, awful outcome with Buster. Nobody is mad enough to deny that. However, better a 'lesson learned, bear in mind we need to do X next time' than criticism and finger pointing... which just leads to a reduction in those willing to get involved and help.

And I'm sorry this is an essay. My ability to be concise reduces parallel to the amount of wine I consume :(

(Also just read down and PMSL Dobiegirl!! :D:D Somebody should go get Cayla's Mum. Maybe we can head off another CrateGate before it starts :p).

Thankou Pix, we only never spoke cos u are shy and scared im a nut job, which of course Vizzy, carey and claire will say I am:rolleyes::p
That e.mail today was a blast from the past though (I remember them too):D we will def get them a dog/puppy.

I was introduced here by a vet my mam worked with, im sure she is still around but I cannot recognise her new name (she is hiding from me):D just messing, would love to see her doglets again in the AAD though.

Outed god and proper!

I notice how you only outed the Anne Summers purchases........
What about my purchase of the book 'How to obtain World Peace in five easy steps?' or 'How to be more humble when you are so damned perfect'-written by a forum member I believe? :p
Or my many purchases of 'lady nappies' that I frequently donate to HHO'ers unable to afford new ones and have to make do with washing the old ones?
No.....don't 'out' my charity work!!!
