Well of course she will never be THE lickle ex-racehorse because that's fully taken up by a certain ginger pony.
Basically the idea was when i got Major i brought him on and eventually sell him, and well that never happened. So when this little mare came along i thought she was at least worth a look. She's a 15.2 (very teeny weeny!) 7yo dappled grey thoroughbred. She raced twice as a youngster, before doing some hacking and a bit of in hand showing then spending 4 years looking pretty on the yard
The yard she's at is where she was bred, and i know the lady who has looked after her all her life so they have agreed i can have her on a 2 week trial at my yard starting Thursday and if she's sound and sane i'll take her on with the idea being to sell her. I know horses aren't selling but i have a friend in mind who she will be perfect for once re-started, and i'm more focused on giving her a chance as her future may be un-certain if she doesn't find a home now. Here she is when i first went to see her, dragged in from the field looking rather... dirty!
I did everything you can to an un-rideable horse when you go to view them, she seems very sweet and seems to have a kind heart so let's see how our 2 weeks go!
So there you are, lickle ex-racehorse project #2!!! Let's see if this one turns out as well as the first
