This has followed on from jod washing funny post.
My boys/men now wear a pair of jeans once and then they are supposedly dirty I can wash 4 times a day with towels and bed linen being extra. They drive me mad .They go to work play golf football and go to the gym I just cant keep up I wash and iron every day.
They are moving out in 2 months buying a house together boy have they got a shock coming to them.
What is the norm for family of 5 re washing mine must be extreme in cleanliness

We are a family of 4 and I think we must do at 2 - 3 washes a day, me being the only horsey one in the family gets the blame for most of this!

I wouldn't bank on them getting a shock. They'll come home for Sunday dinner and expect you to have washed and ironed everything (including) bedding before they go home after their tea

Havent told you the best bit .They have good jobs they are 22 and 20 buying their own 4 bed house detached so really proud of them .They know that the money they give me, which isnt much, helps to keep my horses. So would I like to clean the house and do the washing to help subsidise my horses .I think not theyneed to learn that Im not going to pick up after them in their own property .They can both cook and iron but cleaning hah they can learn the hard way at least for a few months.

Hmmm from the sounds of things I'll happily take on their laundry and house keeping....

Once I'd left school, my Mum made a couple of new rules - 'you buy hand wash clothes, you hand wash them!' and 'you want it ironed - get on and learn how to iron.'

I'm 40 now - I don't buy handwash stuff, and I only iron for weddings and funerals!

OMG I'm clearly not normal. There's just the two of us - me and OH. I do an underwear wash once a fortnight, a horse clothes wash once a week and 3 or 4 'everything else' washes once a month. I iron all 'everything else' clothes but just in one big go once a month. We must have waaay too many clothes!

ha ha both good looking too.Should I add that they both drive bmw cars and one of them has motor bike .Better not give you photos .
I could do with some moral support from horsey girlfriends.Could really help my cause.

Believe me when I say they have enough clothes ,far too many clothes , they just dont need to wear them all in one week.Half of it is a problem to wash because they pick up all the designer gear and then I worry about shrinking it or washing it wrong.

*waves hand* definitely could cope with laundry.....

Horsey girlfriend available- am good at supporting bf's mothers at horsey things- have had practice!

Where are you exactly.....not that relocation is necessarily a problem!!! LOL

Family of five, two washes a day, sometimes only one, plus towels and bedlinen;
But I DONT iron much at all, it gets folded up, my ironing takes about half an hour a week!

BTW my kids are 25, 22 and 20! they left once and came back because the two boys were made redundent and couldn't afford their flat! Younger one off to Uni in Sept, so it will be years before she has any money!! Bugger!

just me and my daughter do two washes a week..
my mum has 7 of them living there so she does around 6-7 washes per day.. mad eh
