for the first time! he has been in training for 5 weeks, and I have been having lessons with another pony for that time, but, today was the day!! And I loved it!! YAY!!
 
Brilliant so glad it went well .
I drove mine today first time since last summer he was great and much fitter than I feared ( he is ridden work) pulled three big adults for forty minutes no trouble.
How long till Donovan comes home ?
 
He has got another 3 weeks til he comes home. We are talking about doing a small comp on may 19th, my OH will usually be backstepping for me, but my instructor said he is happy to do it for the first competition! Just printing off the entry form!!
 
Its calle a world cup style event, which is 2 rounds of 3-4 obstacles and multiple cones over approx 1km. Its just a fun day, so ideal for a first go!!
 
Perfect , I just used my Oh when I started we had to work it out together we went straight to HDT it was hilarious, choas at times but we worked it out I did however have a super experianced horse who really was teaching us he was a gent and a complete star. I loved him dearly a better more generous teacher does not exist he gone now but I was so lucky to find him.
 
couldnt do pics today cos the other half wasnt there, hopefully he can come sometime next week and then there will be loads and loads! Promise!!:D
 
They can pull a lot more than they can carry. I'm 15 stone and a 13.2 pony pulls me, plus instructor similar weight in a small carriage quite easily although I have to be aware of my weight and lean forward sometimes. I usually drive the bigger pony at 14.2 who pulls the bigger carriage and I don't have to lean forward or back quite so much with that one. Driving is so much fun :D Any piccies? I'll share one
