...... and I am really concerned about the weather

.... the wind is soooooo strong and it smacks of the high winds in October 1987, but thankfully without the days and days of rain beforehand.

I hope it goes away, as I am now so concerned about my horses and their South facing stables

I am in West Sussex ...... what is it like where you are?

It was the night of 15th October 1987 - we had a large beech tree land on the roof of our brand new house. Luckily we were standing outside at the time - looking at the tree that had just crashed through our neighbours roof - she was okay.

It is really windy outside - kind of pleased I don't have a horse to fret about yet - hope all your horses are okay though.

Blowing - which usually means I will be rebuilding the greenhouses on Monday but then again as it is supposed to be bad again on Monday I will leave it till later on in the week

, roll on tomorow lunch time when it's supposed to clear up a bit. (in the southwest anyhow)

I remember the 15th Oct '87. I lived in London at the time & every tree in our street fell down except the dead one! A really terrifying night.

Its not too bad here in Lincs. Its raining, but not too windy yet.

Not nice here and the horses are out

Our phone lines have been dead for hours, I'm surprised the electricity is still on! If this rain carry's on I'll be stuck at home all weekend as all the roads around us flood

Where about in Shropshire are you SM? My horses are in Shropshire but I'm in Hereford so not sure what the weathers like with them, it can change so much between here and the yard!

The wind seems to have dropped here a bit in North Devon, but we keep our horses right by the beach and bringing them in about 5pm this evening was a bit hairy.

Local weathermen said there will be a new storm hitting us tomorrow morning and then another one on Monday.

Don't think I'll be riding my boys on the beach this weekend!

its raining here in Essex, not too windy yet although it is forecast to get very windy indeed. I remember 1987 as well, was living at home at the time and I woke up and my Dad was just moving my Mums car off the driveway into the road, 2 minutes after he moved it the laburnum tree came down right where the car had been parked

Very very windy, im in surrey/hampshire borders. Starting to worry about my mare she is out in this hope she stays out of the field shelter just my luck something will collapse and squash her!!1

Unreal. Like The End of Days, here. Lightning, torrential rain, thunder and gale force winds.

At least when we had the hurricane in January there wasn't a storm with it too.

power on/off, windy and chucking it down in hampshire - meant to be out tomorrow competing with a spooky in season mare!! not gunna though - might have a lay in instead!
