Ps - its now 8 points for no insurance..... Sorry
Is that with the 6 points already on his licence or on top of? Doesn't that mean he's banned from driving for x amount of months?

Because the only way they would know he had no insurance is if they ran the registration number through their computers.
Why would they do that for no reason. It might have been something as simple as erratic driving or a light out, but there would have been something.
Thanks for that, thats not what i needed right now.
As i stated before, it isnt his fault. There was no warning they were cancelling his insurance despite their lies that they had tried to contact him. They made several mistakes on the phone this morning and it is being dealt with as best we can and hopefully this will be rectified. However, knowing they have made mistakes they are trying to cover up as best they can and its proving very difficult to get the result we want.
I was just saying the worst case scenario is that he'll have to take the points and fine.
And i shouldn't have to justify why i'd sell my horse in this situation. But as i dont have a license myself, currently i rely on him to take me to the yard to see to my horses every night. I have two, and i will have to sacrifice one, to be able to see to the other.
Jesus Christ csi:hho are off again...
Te insurance company are arguing that he had not sent proof of no claims within a deadline, which he had. That email is in his sent box. There was no warning, they just cancelled it.
Not read other posts, sorry you are selling your horse, I take it that your o/h will lose job if this is not sorted out, if you can please vet any offer on your horse, it will be a regret.
I hope you can fix this before you need to sell your horse.
Why doesn't he dell his bike to raise the money??
Could you move your horses closer, to somewhere that is within cycling distance?
There is obviously a little more to this than the OP's mentioning here which is obviously her right, but then we cant advise properly without knowing what as otherwise on the face of it showing proof of payments would be enough to sort this 'misunderstanding' out and the points and fine her OH incurred would be quashed.
If he has insurance again, then really selling your horse has nothing at all to do with what has just happened, as he can still drive you.
So unless we can rectify the problem, he'll have 6 points and a £200 fine. This puts his point up to 9 in total meaning he just can't afford to insure the car again until the points have gone.
But she then said he HAD insured the car. So it is now insured.

I think he's now got his car insured with someone else straight after the police stopped him but by that time it was too late and he will prob be getting more points added to his licence and a fine.
From what I understand which could be wrong the OP needs to learn to drive so she can get to the yard without relying on her OH? So she is selling a horse to fund this?
I think the misunderstanding has come from the OP's orig post implying that she's selling the horse to pay her OH's fine and insurance but this isn't the case as she's only selling so she doesn't need him to take her places and she can be more independent?
Her OH had a bike accident (not his fault apparently?) which has understandably put her off getting a moped?
Sorry if this is wrong it's just how I understand it as it is written?
Anyhow, hope you get sorted OP.
