On purpose! And I chose to do it!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D

Had a lesson, Dizz was her usual charming self lol, though instructor is pleased as she is getting better. Instructor left.

Friend had a wee ride, then I got back on. A jump had been left out from D1's lesson.... I told D1 that she could jump Dizz.

... I asked D1 to put the jump to the smallest possible cross pole, and I walked Dizz over it :), then I trotted over it and m'lass tried to jump it, but it was way too low for her lol.

... I got D1 to raise it to the third hole (making the cross point about eight inches lol), and trotted the Dizz up to it. The first three times she trotted over without noticing it . Next time round however - she jumped it!!! And I stayed on :D :D :D :D

Tried twice more. The second time I nearly went out the side door (totally my fault), but managed to balance self back on; the third time was a goody :D :D :D :D

I soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo chuffed :D :D:D :D :D

To top it off, went out for a hack afterwards and she was grand, other than the not standing still, but we're working on that :)

Considering that the last hack I took her on I nearly decided to give up on her... :o

...Did I mention I jumped Dizzy today???;):p:eek::D:D:D

Many, many thank yous :D

D1 is grinning and says I didn't look too bad at all - much better than she expected lol :D

No photos... wasn't expecting to be doing anything other than arguing our way round in circles in trot and transitions :D

Was so lovely :D

I jumped her once by mistake over a stream (well, more a drizzle of water lol), and two or three times in the paddock, but that was last August/September. Today she locked on and was obviously enjoying it :D. D1 jumped her a wee bit higher as she has a much better seat and far more recent experience. Looked good :D :D :D

MrsM that's fantastic, you deserve the good times and the huge smiles and the fun for a while...I hope you're skipping round your house this evening annoying any of those watching the football :D

Thankies, thankies, thankies :D :D :D

I have told the world, and I'm still grinning :D

Just got to canter out on a hack, and gallop her, then I will feel like I can and will get on with the healing process :D. My lovely instructor today, whilst watching me canter (I use the word losely lol), said "Okay, so her head is to the outside, she's motorbiking, it's not pretty, but you're doing it and that for now is all that matters." :D

I love instructors like that, mine's the same, the most excellent of comments when it's all a bit pants to give you the boost that you know you're achieving something! :)

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYY WOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

Go lady!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D

Oh MrsM I am so pleased for you I am stood on the roof clapping and shouting Yaaaay!!!!!

Well I would be but its getting dark I am in my slippers and my bums sore from riding my mates bouncy horse. So pleased for you!!!!

Well done you!
When I got my mare, she thought that standing still on a hack, was a very strange idea. But she soon decided that she liked it, when she found that if you stop to talk to the neighbours, they give you treats/mints/carrots etc. It really works, if you can find any-one to feed her while you're out and about.

And more thank yous :D :D :D

F - I know the sore bum feeling lol. Rode for about three and a half hours yesterday! And the daft mare was still going forward well :D. Good news for camp m'thinks :D

Definately Yay! for instructors :D. I rang mine after I'd jumped :D. Could feel the surprise in her voice never mind hear it lol. Seemed pleased :D. Gawd knows what she'll have for me next time though.... :o :eek::D

The dingbat didn't used to stand still, then she did after a lot of 'Get back where you were Girly!' sort of conversations; now she's decided that it's all far too exciting and she can't possibly standstill, so we're working on it again :). I would do the treats thing, but she's very rude (despite being told No!) and will rub her head on anyone she can once she's got a bit sweaty - have visions of low-flying neighbours lol. Will give it a thunk though, ta :).
