I think they're great, they've saved me time and hay and shavings - yay!

I loved mine the first day it was fitted.

Unfortunately Star took a chunk out of it on the first night

I didn't think it would break quite so easily.

If you feed your horse haylage from his Haybar, be aware that if there's any left in the morning it can compact at the bottom and start fermenting all over again. Spoke to the manufacturers and they advise that if your haylage is quite wet, shake the amount you'll be putting in the Haybar out loosely onto the floor and leave it while you muck out. Then put it in the Haybar. They are a marvellous invention and although I bought mine to help Sunny feed in a head-down position (mild COPD) it has saved me untold hours of backache from filling haynets.

Well B, I do love mine

However Star did take a bite out of it on the first night. I steam my hay so I still have to net it and then take it out again to put in the Haybar.

Star also likes to take a huge mouthful, wave it around, drop it and tread it into her bed

However it does do what I wanted in that she eats head down!

They are an excellent idea without a doubt, but if your horse is a headcase like mine, then prepare to be sightly disappointed PMSL!
