You do know that what you will probably end up with, wont fit that description at all, dont you.
But....that lovely girl form HHO will be rising itLMAO
Ok...........im looking for a jet black (a little white permitted), cob type, with minimal feather, safe/forward going, no plodder than cant move, but just as a happy hack.
Hence you will see the very pretty 14 year old unbroken mare
I loan maybe a better idea to see if it can stick, but mind u once I have an animal it remains forever![]()
Cayla is a sucker for a sob story... have you seen how many dogs she has?!![]()

OK I have to say this... You know this is the equivalent of someone saying "I have never owned a dog before but found these two husky cross puppies in a puppy farm, I live in an appartment, work 8-6, would it be a good idea to rehome them?"
Hun, forget about the unbroken mare. Get a nice hack, preferably on loan, and if you decide to try for a baby you can chose whether to return him to his owner or pop him in a field for a few months before you are ready to get back on.
So true! Give it a few weeks and you'll fall in love with a grey TB.
I remember seeing one that did match your description on horsemart a month ago, it may still be there.![]()

Dude, come and visit me...there are fields full of cobs going for peanuts.
shes put the reference up, you only have to input that and the advert comes up.
A friend broke in a 15 year old mare, who had been a broodmare. Fabulous horse, never seen a horse learn so quick.....
He has also broken in a few 'over 10' mares, they all turned out pretty decent.
To those yelling 'don't get a 14 year old mare!'.......You can't discount something just because of it's age, unless it was not used because of injury, some older horses, having 'seen the world' become very receptive to a new career.
Good luck in your search!

See, Vizzy agrees with me![]()
Now this may seem like a stupid question but have you asked whoever is selling it/who you're looking at getting it from why it's not been broken in?!
I would say either a broodmare, injured or loopy. However, there could be the slim possibility that someone just kept her as a pet or just never got around to breaking her. I picked up a two year gelding for a friend of mine several years ago after her horse had died. She did sort of break it in but to be perfectly honest the horse has never been ridden as such and has just been a pet along with the 3 retired horses she had. He will be about 9 now and there is nothing wrong with him, my friend just doesn't have the time to do anything with him and doesn't live in a place where she can just hack straight out from where he's kept (all main roads, no bridleways). She won't sell him either as she has another old horse who he is the companion for. She has asked me to ride him but she lives a fair way away so it's not really feasible for me.
So, it can happen, time flies past and maybe noone's got around to doing anything with the mare. Doesn't mean it can't be done.
What about this one ?
can you manage to type the numbers
