Samba regularly reverses on me when I'm in her field for a bum scratch with the future fork.

Recently she has decided that me "applying" sudo cream to her udders ( keeps horse flies away) is the best thing ever. Stands there head up nose twitching.......much to the amusement of the girls at the yard....

Anyone else?!?
 
My Arab gelding sticks his tongue out and likes having it squeezed, sends him into a trance, his often stood in a show ring sticking his tongue out when the judge is stood infront of him, some laugh some just pretend they dont notice which can send me into a fit of laughter not what you want really.

Both Teasle and Fly did that with me. Teasle...if I lent against the stable door, talking to something outside, would squash me with her bum, really lean and squash me until I turned around and scratched her. Fly would reverse after me as you describe. I could walk circles.

Oddly, Teasle, when I brushed her neck, would turn her head around and bury it in my chest and go to sleep for as long as I could manage to hold her. Fly, who I didn't take on until 5 years after Teasle was put to sleep would, when I put the reins over her head, turn her head around, bury it in my chest and fall asleep for as long as I could hold her.

Molly was becomming very similar too but not quite the same. Teasle and Fly, despite being completely different horses at different times were so similar, I accidentally called Fly Teasle for the first year I had her. Looked very different, but like they shared a soul...just full of love and gentle kindness...but with a talent for gymnastic levitation under saddle for no apparent reason :)
 
Benji reverses into me so his bum is literally in my face and lifts a leg wanting me to scratch his sheath area. We get lovely "forest flies" aka crab flies which are vile little sods, he hates them and apparently it's my job to provide relief from these scuttling horrors. I have to warn people if they come to visit and he starts waving a leg around. I had him MOT'd recently and told the vet this and as she got to checking hindquarters, right on cue, leg was lifted and the expression on his face was begging her to scratch him.
 
One of my horses likes a bum scratch - aka around the inside of her leg. She'll reverse up to you, or spin around (without due care that she's about to use her massive backside to swipe you over!) for you to scratch her bum.
 
My Arabian gelding is a bit special or at least he thinks he is. If he thinks you haven't noticed him in the paddock, he will give you a push in the back, just in case you ddin't see him (he's 15.3hh). If he is worried he will hang onto my sleeve - which looks really silly!
 
My Arab comes galloping up to the fence to say hello....then turn round and back up and position himself for a butt scratch...he will also follow me round the field shoving his ass in my face for his entire back end scratching whilst his legs buckle and his lip wobbles....

He also loves a good snog :)

My anglo does this too! My sec A nuzzles/headbutts everyone till he gets a hug, that is when hes not charging round trying to mount the shire and the friesan
 
One of my 3yo colts insists on kisses. We're talking full on, lip to lip sensuous snoggeroonies. He'll do it for hours if you let him. I have to stop when I start getting stubble rash from his whiskers. **sheepish face**

Years ago I spoke to someone at a supplier of herbal remedies to see if there was anything other than Regumate to help my mare with difficult seasons. I told her about my mare's problems cycling. She replied on the lines of "Hah! That's nothing!". Her mare apparently had worked out that the wing mirrors on a Bedford TK horsebox cab were just the right height and shape, and in when season would reverse onto them. I leave the rest to your imagination. I wonder what anyone sitting in the cab thought.
 
My mare always goes back to the same place to have her feed. If I move fields she runs back to her old field and the place she was last fed and waits, even if I am standing in the new place calling and everyone else is eating.
 
My chap, if he's given the chance, will itch his back under the top door on his box when he's tied up outside. He almost goes into a trace doing it and will almost break it off it's hinges!! He also likes his belly scratched and will start grooming the air. It looks so funny.
 
My share gelding uses his 'man bits' to slap flies off his belly. He's disgusting.

He also likes to lick people like a great big ginger dog. He licks the farrier's back while he's having his feet done, he licks my jumper while I'm poo picking, he licked my hair and ear while I was cleaning up a scrape on his leg, and when I was in sole charge of him while his owners were on holiday he followed me round his stable using his tongue to flick the bobble on my hat!

I was very naughty last time I rode him, in a 10 acre field with no gate I let go of him while I moved some poles, and he followed me back and forth across the field as though he was on a lead rope, just responding to 'walk on' and 'stand'. I was so proud of him but my friend was killing herself laughing at him solemnly plodding behind me. I do wonder sometimes if he's part dog!

He also delighted some little girls who were hanging over their garden gate shouting "horsey!" as we hacked past, by very graciously allowing himself to be stroked and patted, and then sticking his top lip up at them and showing off his grin. He does this a lot.
 
My mare will raise her lip and do a smile everytime she's given anything - whether it's a carrot or a polo or the feed she gets every day, twice a day - so embarrassing in public! My gelding who is 27, lifts his leg up if you go near his hind end and wants an itch on the inside of his thunder thighs / near his sheath.. :/ Most embarrassing..
 
I have been struggling recently with being able to actually get to poo pick without being moved into position by the fatlinger. He's always had a penchant for sucking on the handle of the poo scoop, but now he snatches that out of your hand and then presents his derriere and will keep presenting it. I couldn't work out why initially, then realised he wanted a scratch. I scratched. This apparently is not good enough for his lordship.
Then I discovered why...

Turns out that OH while poo-picking has been 'bonding' with Nugz by using rounded end of the poo rake...
 
Given chance the old Fell pony loves to back up to the barrow and get a handle between his legs to rub his bits on. Stands there rocking back and forward with his lip curled up. Dirty old man.
 
Not Ned, but we have one at the yard that goes mad for a tummy scratch! I thought he was trying to kick me or step on me until someone told me to itch his belly! He goes all silly like some sort of big dog :P
 
My Loan snaps the clip thing on the ring he is tied to then walks into his stable... and then looks at me blankly because he hay isn't there... Gives you soo many kisses without you asking in hope of a treat! (he is a fatty on a diet!) i actually think im going to get a bruise! If you go to the cupboard in his box he is as far away as possible then he manages to cram his head between you and whatever your trying to get, And if im in the school setting poles up he starts to warm himself up by walking around the school...
He is a funny one! and brightens up my week :)

I have a 'butt 'n' bits scratches please' horse. Used to just be his fat arse, but since I had to clean his sheath under sedation, he's decided he rather likes it and demands a good scratch in that area too. Perv. His Idiotness, the ex-racehorse and present field ornament, likes to drink out of hoofprints. Today I noticed him doing something else; he had his back to me and was rummaging around by the hedge, so I had a look at what he was up to. Picking the flowers off a thistle (the fluffy purple bit) and eating them. Carefully.

He is odd.

PS. WHnW, your horse isn't doing that to slap flies, it's worse....... :eek:

Well, I've always said if he was human he'd be the type of grotty old man who farts loudly and fiddles with himself in public, the disgusting old git! (I don't think I will let on about this to his owner's 12 year old daughter who also rides him... 'flies' it is!)
 
My friend's old gelding used to position himself over an electric fence post (the plastic ones - just standing in the field with nothing attached I might add!!) so that it was actually going up into his sheath - and rock backwards and forwards with a look of perverted bliss on his face! Gave us a giggle from the house opposite!!
 
my gelding goes mad for me scratching/brushing the insides of his ears, he wont keep a fly mask on and freaks out if I try to put fly cream in there, so they are probably really sore from the flies!

my Shetland was doing this with a big branch that was in the field a while ago! think it was actually him enjoying himself rather than itching! haha
 
Jazz is OBSESSED with trying to lick my sister's horse. They get turned out together, and the first thing he does is try to lick Harley's face. Drives the big dude mad :P
 
Whilst riding Bob the "nota"cob ,I tend to have conversations .Bob has a thing about Pigeons and right now they tend to sit on the hedges grazing. Bob!,theres a pigeon. Bob can you see the pigeon? Bob ,I REALLY THINK YOU SHOULD LOOK CLOSELY. Pigeon suddenly flies up and Bob has a hissy fit! I effing told you that pigeon was there !You dont bloodywell listen! Stoney silence from Bob for rest of ride.
 
My beloved Crocopony likes to make oogie-boogie faces over the fence - puts a lot of effort into twisting his head around, pinning his ears and snapping his teeth - with intervals to stop and look terribly pleased - then back to monster faces. He especially likes to play this game with my human beloved - it's their special thing. I just need to step in and debrief occasionally if the play gets a bit serious!
 
My daughters pony is very cute in that when she goes to put his bridle he picks up the bit with his teeth and moves it in to his mouth. We like to think its because he is happy to be ridden....
 
Rosie also thinks its pure bliss to have her udders scratched to the point she ill lift a leg up for you. She also 'smiles' at anything food wise given to her but I know got that on command to which makes other people laugh :)
