I ride for a living, and had one saddle.
Then I got a bit excited on ebay one night and left low bids on 2 saddles and made a low offer on one.

I now own 4 saddles. And no horse.

This goes without saying, but obviously I'm not the brightest.

I'm confused. Easily done I know, but why would you buy saddles with no horse unless you are going to sell them on for hopefully a profit. :confused::)

ETA I have an old pony saddle that came with one of our ponies - you can buy it if you would like to add it to your collection. :D
 
At the moment I have four horses each has two saddles .
In the attic I have more saddles than I will admit too collected over more than thirty years ( must be between fifteen and twenty ) the thing is every now and again one recycles I have sold a few but I hate parting with them just in case.
 
I ride for a dealer, so having a comfy saddle in a medium/wide that fits sort of ok on most things is a must.

My other one was ok but needed a nicer one as we're going to do some workers this year with a couple of them and this was a bit battered from a couple of years on 6-10 horses a day!
 
I have 6 surplus saddles, all from showing era & will never fit Big Fuzzy in a million years (or rather they might, but I'd never get girths long enough to strap them on! :D:D )

OP - have you got the urge to send me message with bid for any of them - 12" - 15.5" - fit 11.2hh to 13.2" natives.... :D
 
My fetish is rugs... think on last count for one horse I had 16... but all are different weights & purposes inc travel & shows. My parents are appalled as they have that number between 6 horses! :D
 
One horse in work, and one 22 year old pony... the tack room has 10 saddles in.. not includeing the one I am borrowing and the new one arriving in two weeks.....

If anyone has seen my recent posts you will know I am making an effort to reduce the number! Maybe you can add them to your collections?
 
Can't believe how many saddles some of you have :eek: Would anyone like to donate one to me? :p :D I keep having a peep on ebay for cheap ones but not having much luck!

My fetish is saddle cloths, I have 21 full size ones and only one horse (with one saddle :p ) to use them on, ooops!!
 
Something about 17.5", medium medium/wide :p Kind of looking for a horse I 'rescued' in December but don't want to spend much as I'm not sure if he'll come right! :o
 
I only have 1 horse but 2 saddles, 5 bridles, 13 sets of boots (4 boots in a set), god knows how many numnahs, 5 girths and at last count 27 rugs! I am addicted to shopping!!
