so sorry to hear this. I had my 6 year old mare pts last Monday. I didn't think I would be able to do it but I found the strength and did what was best for her not me.
I have tried to follow some of your story with Andy and he seems like such a special little horse who you have done everything you can for. I'm so very sorry to hear this and will be thinking of you, Tash xxx
I have not replied to any of your posts before because I have less experience horse wise than you so there was not much I could have helped you with. However, I have followed you from the beginning with Andy and I am so sorry for you and will be thinking of you.
So sorry, a dreadful time for you. If you can stay calm and put on a brave face then be there for him. If you think he'll pick up on your natural distress and pain, better for him if you ask someone you trust to be there for his final moments, as sadly I had to do, but it was better for my girl.
Sorry to hear this sad news, but glad you have made a decision, which although heart wrenching I know, must be a slight relief for you too. You have been a wonderful team, and I have enjoyed reading about the journey you have had together. Will be thinking of you. Hugs. x
Thank you all for your kind words, it's going to be a tough day but he deserves a decent end. He's a wonderful boy with a heart of gold and doesn't deserve to be in pain for the rest of his days
Oh Sorry this is where this story has ended up. A tough decision but understandable. Hope it all goes as well as it can in the circs., but at least he can move on from being in pain, and you can move on from the stress and worry of a truly horrible situation.
Very sorry to read this I've only recently returned to HHO but I remember the beginning with you guys. Enjoy the time you have left, I'll be thinking of you - it's such a tough decision xx
