I think I've been had II

I am sorry Istill dont agree he is with you and was poor when he arrived and continues to lose weight, sufferf rom choke and cough and nothing has been said on here about doing anything to help him with these problems-he is not being managed and fed correctly where he is

Perhaps you should've thought about that before writing a post which makes you come across as fool who buys a horse unseen and decides to have it shot because it runs the fence line and gets cast and choke. I still maintain what I said. Why is he not gelded if he obviously finds life as a lonely entire an unhappy one?!

I don't know if the recent poster with stallion is a troll, but things can be VERY different living overseas. I agree she has drip fed but she is new here and haven't we all been new and not understood the rules?

If she lives in the middle east then yes it may be very hard to get a decent vet. One that speaks any English may be a huge achievement never mind anything else. I can see why she cannot get the stallion gelded where she lives and also why she saw no problem buying a stallion in the first place. In some countries it is totally the norm and geldings are rare. He has a companion. He just doesn't seem very happy, and it does appear she has asked the vet regarding his health problems. If the vet has no suggestions as to manage him then really what can she do?

I live overseas and know the huge problems re different standards and also language, so I feel a bit sorry for her!

Well said Hollycat, what a wonderful welcome this new poster has received - not!

Even after she has better explained the position, people are jumping up and down on her with no idea whatsoever what the circumstances are - shame on you all

Oh I am really sorry for writing a post at all. Who do you think you are calling someone a fool?
Oh so hold on a minute. I imported a horse had it flown in from another Country, sleep in my own bed what is bought and paid for, under my own roof what is bought and paid for and own my Stallions what are bought and paid for. I dont need to work EVER and have no money worries. So tell me who is the fool again?
Yes I can go out and ship another one in but I am quite fond of this one and trying to do my best for him. Do you have a problem with people posting on here from another Country?

Not a fool. Just arrogant.

Thankyou for that, some of the people on here who have posted have been very kind and helpful, but a number have been just shear nasty and know it alls. I am new to computors and had to look up what a Troll was. I am not a troll. I have been a horse addict all my life. and no cure for it. It really upsets me when I see horses neglected, but I am a realist and still stand by shooting than risking passing a horse on to someone when you hardly know anything about them.
I am having a French Vet to attend the Stallion next week so hopefully we will get to the bottom of this weight issue.

I know Auslander. :(

If folks check my posts I'm 99.99% nice and supportive but they way the posts were phrased just makes me suspect all is not what it seems.

I hope others are right and I'm wrong - in which case I happily stand corrected bobajob good luck with the weight and or choke issue.

Should be working for the Government with your mind reading skills. I have known people like you growing up in the UK. I bet you use to watch the kids at horse shows making fun of them when they fell off, or just preaching to everyone how much you knew about horses but did not have one yourself or did you just stick to bullying the fat kid in class and just bitter that the fat kid grew up, lost weight got the nice looking guy and now has done very well for herself. Whilst all the time you look back at failed relationships and what could have been. So instead you just post on here and try to do the same bully anyone who is not white or comes from a different culture.Hiding all the time behind your computor, not having the guts to go to those horse shows anymore to make fun of people.
My Stallions are well looked after as I am lucky enough to be able to afford this and when the end time comes they will be put down rather than be given away as I have the guts to do this rather than pass them on to be someone elses problem. Any of this ring a bell?
Instead of calling me a Troll which I have looked up mainly meaning foreign and should not be on here, why dont you say what you really mean?

Actually, a troll is someone who signs up to an internet forum to wind people up. Nothing to do with nationality or location

Why the heck would I want to wind complete strangers up? It is you and others who have insulted and throw insults all day now who is the Troll?
All because I said I would have my Stallion shot if he does not recover. I came on here for advice, being very few if none at all horse loving people over here you can discuss anything with.
I could understand if I had posted saying 'All horses should be shot' but I did not. How old do you think I am to play such childish games? I do have better hobbies to keep myself busy. I was going to post on here pictures of my stallion arriving on the Plane of how poor he was then a picture of how he looked when I had put weight on, and a picture of how he has lost weight now. As I have no idea how to do this. It wont happen. Horse people in England are still the same. People come on here for advice and help, not to be insulted or called an idiot. It is not a show ring love, where if someone new turns up with a better horse, they are made to feel they should not be there as they may be a threat to the Trolls who hang out there.

I haven't "thrown insults all day". I suspected from your first post that you were a wind-up, because your post read as if your horse had a few minor problems that you couldn't fix, so you were going to shoot it. Sadly, there is a fair amount of trolling on here, and they are usually started with a topic that is going to upset people - which yours, until you explained further, kinda was.

So -you didn't get off to a good start, and you have got peoples backs up. This doesn't happen to every new person who signs up, so you have to accept that there may have been a better way to introduce yourself - surely? How about we all kiss and make up, and start over again. There are plenty of very knowledgeable people on here who may be able to help you if you explain the issues a little bit more clearly.

Everyone on here is here because they love their horses and want the best for them - you're not alone in that.

I agree! There is LOADS of good advice and support here :)

Sorry I am new on here so forgive the bad computor skills!
Your not the only one I have been had over a horse I bought from a breeder.
Stupidly bought unseen (a moment of madness) horse arrived in a right state, neglected, loads wrong with it, but at the time too ill myself to deal with it. I let my heart rule my head and kept it. We have our own place so lucky enough to have a hubby (hates horses) but willing to fence the fields to contain said horse(Stallion)Turns horse out all it does is run up and down all day along the fencing, gets cast on a regular basis in a huge Stable and suffers from choke. Last incident nearly died and to be honest if it had not cleared on the day I gave it to clear I would have had him shot. Still not right lost loads of weight. He still keep coughing although now grazing in a field away from other horses even though he is wormed and have now decided to give him until after Christmas see how he goes if he does not pick up I will have him shot. What is the point of keeping a horse you get no pleasure in?

I don't think your situation parallels MrsB & Boris. You made a poor choice but were not scammed by a dodgy dealer in cahoots with a dodgy vet. Your mistake was not sending the horse back if it was not buying it in the first place.
Have you wormed him for lungworm?

Living all over the World kinda messes with what one writes down, going from one language to another. I do love my horses much to my husbands annoyance! He would rather have me collecting stamps! I am seeing what the French Vet has to offer why my Stallion is not putting weight on. Trying him again tomorrow and moving the mains electric fence in a different area. He seems to respect this hoping this will stop him pacing. It did in one of the fields. He is use to being pampered and im not saying this how the English pamper their horses. I mean he had his own personal groom who was on call 24/7 so I think he feels it is below him to graze out nice and quiet with a Donkey of all things when he is used to food being brought to him and being treated like a King. Mind you I still grovel before him!

i think that a lot of the problems you describe are related to him being a stallion tbh. The pacing is a very stalliony thing to do, and if he hasn't been used to being turned out, t may have blown his mind a bit. Constant fencewalking indicates stress, which would explain the weightloss. I have known stallions who have literally melted away to nothing during the breeding season - and these are stallions on top breeding yards. Which country did he come from, and has he covered mares?

Right, let's rein back a bit here. Bobajob (nice name, look that one up too ;)!) - yes you were a bit silly buying a horse you hadn't even seen, however you seem to be giving the boy a chance and trying to clear up his issues, picking his pockets would be the first place to start, as suggested by many others. As a first time buyer, at least I went to see the horse I bought ;)

And s4sugar is right - your story is nothing compared to mine, however I'll let you off for hijacking the thread, but please consider that not everyone is the same and it seems you have a bit of a warped view of how you think people in the UK are.

Best of luck sorting out your situation and perhaps starting a new thread? Just a thought ;)

Bobajob..firstly I so wish you'd not posted this on mrsBs thread. Having followed Borise's start through from start to end I kind of feel that you have somehow ruined it.

Whereabouts in the middle east are you based that you are lucky enough to have 30 acres of grazing and keep cattle?

Sorry, what does having all the money in the world have to do with the fact your stallion is unhappy? If you are so well off why have you not paid to have this horse gelded? If you want to do the best for him then get the knackers off the poor sod!!!

Don't worry ladies... doesn't matter...! Had a lot of aggro with Epona over last few days, wondered if it was someone who'd I'd upset! But it doesn't bother me, so don't worry ;) PM me if you wish...

Is is possible for H&H ADMIN to split the thread from post #411 where Bobajob starts and create a new thread called stallion issues or similar for Bobajob? I agree it has ruined this thread.

Shivvy you'll need to button push to draw their attention to the post.

And likewise whether BJ:p is happy... if she was that content with her lot she wouldn't be trolling on here about her poor horse.
