right, im going to be semi responsible here ! *stand on chair and taps glass* i think everyone needs to put there differences aside and stop all this bitchyness now, iv been on here since 2008 ( i think?) and this is the first time i have actually seen it this bad, its been non stop for the past week. at the end of the day, if you have not got anything nice to say dont say anything at all! fair enough you all have your own opinion that can be taken the wrong way by the soft but maybe just take the time to re read what you have put or add a little note saying its not meant in a harsh way, simple things make life so much easier!
now this thread is not to end up as a bitch fest!!!! but i think you all need to step back and look at how you have all been behaving!
(this isnt aimed at specific people by any means!)

As an adult male, I have come close to the point of permanently leaving the forum, as the whole place seems to have recently degenerated into a playground brawl.
 
The only threads I can see now are people bleeting on about how we should all shut up and play nicely...it would have died down ages ago if people stopped bringing it up with thread after thread...

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for a bit of lightheartedness, but once this sort of thing seems to start on a thread it just runs & runs. I was really relieved yesterday on the Parelli thread when someone started the whole popcorn thing & the next poster soon put a stop to it. There was no need for that sort of immaturity on that particular post.

I stress the fact here that I am a mature adult and I come on here to gain info on anything I'm not sure about. Some of the things I see on here astound me, especially when a poster writes a seemingly sensible post & the next person mis-reads it or takes it out of context and posts a bitchy response out of the blue.

I agree and im getting fed up with it all now i made sure i wasn't on here last night as its the same "be nice" "why you hate such and such" and tbh i cant be bothered im not going to comment on "such a persons" topics anymore as well i dont want to feed trolls now dont flame me for it!

Must admit im guilty! and i wonder what this must look like to new members! Ive been joined for while now (think 2009?) maybe 2008 unsure and Ive always had good advice when need so wouldn't want to ;eave (lately my posts are being ignored but hey that's life :D)

this seems to be the main problem. and im glad that everyone has agreed to make some effort, and tbh, as far as i know im the only one who has stood up and made a thread like this, the rest of them have been to start a b1tch session so hopefully this will stop now and the forum will become enjoyable again with some friendly banter.
i couldn't get on the forum last night! did anyone else have the same problem?

I must go around this forum with my eyes shut other then the abuse a certain poster seems to receive I havent noticed anything else!!:eek:
 
admin have been getting rid of the really bad ones when people start pushing the button. hho wouldnt load last night so admin may have been having a mass deleting seesion.

I am quite new on here and compared to other forums I thought this was different, but have to say last fews days I have spotted some threads that did not like the tone of, re your other point, started off ok then it just got stuck, so had to sign out :)
 
i even reset mine thinking it was mine and was cussing my tinternet! but then spoke to a hhoer on facebook last night who said they also couldnt get on, didnt bother then and went to bed!

Anyway, well said OP. I also joined in about 2008 aswell and iirc there was none of this bitchiness. I dont want to post anything anymore just incase people tell me I'm too fat/too thin/ too short/ too tall/ horse is overweight/horse is underweight/ overbitted/underbitted etc.etc....
 
I think a major problem is people is some people are setting themselves up for a fall....

If you want opinions of something, then thats all well and good, BUT you have to accept that you might not LIKE those opinions, therefore why take it out on the person who gave you an opinion you didn't wish to see? Of course, if you think they are being downright rude and rotten, you can either ignore it and just report them, or beat them at their own game by responding nicely....jumping down their throats only inflames the whole situation....

If you are commenting on something you are passionate about, then sure, give your opinion, but accept that some might not like it, as you don't theirs, and once again, if you feel they are being unjust, report them and ignore them.....

It is easy to ignore bad posts. I often just skim through if it's just a war that's going on, to see if there is anything that interests me...

And TBH...threads asking everyone to be nice, never work!
 
agree with asking people to be nice never works, iv asked everyone to stop being bitchy and dont bother stooping down to other peoples levels by answering back. im pleased to see this morning though that its back to friendly banter which is what i liked about this forum in the first place.

weve had some rain overnight but it wasn't enough. everything is still dust here! i need to level the arena to lunge prince for the vet but i end up creating a huge dust cloud!
 
its very overcast here, which is nice as its lovely and cool compared to the recent heat waves! but we need more rain!!!!!!!!
