Idiot clipping/clipper blades question

I've just bought my first pair of clippers but I have no idea how how long omit can expect my blades too last with my hairy native who gets clipped 3 times over the winter. Now I have my own pair, I might actually clip him more often as I used to let it grow out before getting him re-clipped :D I'll start with a high bib clip early on but he'll probably end up with a blanket or possibly hunting clip later on in the winter.

How long can I roughly expect my clipper blades to be used before they need re-sharpening? Or will they need re-sharpening after every clip regardless?

Oh, that's helpful, thank you! And longer than I was expecting so a bonus :)

I usually bath him the day before so that he dries fully and rug to keep clean, so hopefully he'll be clean enough to keep the blades sharper for longer. I'd heard using a mane and tail or coat shine helps, so might try that this year too!

I have Lister Stars and fully clip my traditional cob mare. However she isn't hogged and she keeps her feather, but she does grow a ferociously thick coat in winter. I bath her before clipping too, because it definitely helps the blades glide and you seem to get less noticeable lines (I'm rubbish at clipping!) I clip twice with the same blades and then send to be re-sharpened. I've never tried a third clip with the same blades, tbh.
