If Antifaz were in the UK, what classes would he be good for?

This is the Ginger Beastie. As you can see he's quite striking (apologies for mane on wrong side- it's also VERY long, but owner likes it like that!) He moves very well and is a very light, responsive ride; he makes everything feel really easy although he's not really easy in the conventional sense; he likes a sympathetic hand and leg. He's bred to SJ and is very honest, even if he does swish his tail a lot! If he were in the UK, would he make a good Show / Working Hunter, do you think? I'm wondering if I should pitch to sell abroad. Apparently he's no good for the US market due to the helicopter tail

He looks lovely (tho I keep reading his name as Anti-Freeze

You're not the only one! I think it quite suits him although Antifaz means 'mask'

Can he not just be sold as a showjumper?

[/ QUOTE ]
You'd think! He's very cheap but he had a bad start though and has a bad reputation, poor dear

I'd have him myself if I could afford to keep him!

Very nice looking boy!

And on the subject of misreading your horse's name...the first time I read a post with him in it, I did a double take because I read it as 'Antichrist'

I don know much about working hunter and showing... but could you not sell him as a SJer?

[/ QUOTE ]
Well, his reputation precedes him here; his known as the 'indomitable beast'

which is TOTALLY wrong, so I'm thinking about pitching him abroad and a wider market.

And what does his swishing tail have to do with how well he jumps

Nothing! BUT the US market is for what they call 'hunter' classes that are judged as much on style/technique as performance and the swishing tail is a huge no no

show hunter judges in the UK would probably see it as a sign of tension too, (got a QH that does the same - that's cos she's a stroppy madam tho!) but if he jumped well you'd probably get away with it in WH.
To be honest he's more of a WH stamp than pure show hunter.

nice fella..

so easily could have had a wall-eye..which wouldn't have looked so good IMO..

as for what classes...most riding club stuff i would imagine, PF..

I have no idea about showing classes, but I have to say that I have just watched the first video with an open mouth - it is superb! He sure doesn't look 'easy' and you ride him brilliantly! I loved the video (and the music!)

I think he would be worth quite a lot over here in the UK, he has the fizz in him that all the SJ's like.
I remember seeing that video of the round and JO, I totally fell in love with him!

How much are you wanting for him if you don't mind me asking?
