If only I had two more stables -

OMG what a sad advert but so nicely written :( I wonder how old they are?

Hugs to their owners who sound so caring!

It must be heartbreaking for the person to let them go, I really do hope they find a great home together. The person writing the ad seems to know what they're talking about, so fingers crossed the neds will go to the right home.

I am really tempted to contact this lady, unfortunately I am far away from her but we have just sold our house and will be buying our own land later this year so keeping the older horse would not be a problem, in fact it would be very useful to have an extra companion. I already have an arab and 'safe' is my priority as I am feeling a bit low on confidence at the moment. I would be looking for them to join my arab mare and my lame gelding and just to have some general fun on :)

Does anybody have any thoughts about the ad or the horses?

My biggest reservation is that although I have somewhere I can keep them relatively cheaply at grass until we buy our place, they would end up moving twice within the space if a few months and I wonder if that would be fair on the older boy. Thoughts anybody??

Just seen this. How very sad :( Poor horses and poor poor owner!

LW- i think after living with the same person most of his life, moving an oldie twice within a couple of months could be too much. BUT, the person who knows him best is his owner, so i think it would be worth ringing her to talk about it, but just be prepared she may feel it is too much.

Hope they find somewhere nice, they sounds like lovely neddies and it's such a nice genuine ad.

What makes it really sad is this advert has been up for quite a number of months. I think it may have been up last september when we were trawling through looking for a horse for me but I wait to be corrected. We were thinking exactly the same at the time too.

More than 5000 views and it's still up...

They've added more pics and the healthcheck thing since we last read it so I can only assume they are still up there.

I'll tell my wife we need to up the future property from 10 acres to 20 :)

The owner has now put up a note saying that they have been rehomed and are now being pampered. I hope they are happy and settled in their new home. Their owner seems so caring, it is a shame not everyone is like that!
