I've been dreaming this evening of going on the showjumping sunshine tour in Spain....and just wondered what everyone else would choose if they could go on a once in a lifetime trip to compete??
mine arnt very glamourous
-ride a racehorse on the gallops and work in a racing yard for abit-childhood dream
-win or get placed in a ode on my boy, to have it all come together on one day would mean the world to me
I'd LOVE LOVE LOVE to go...and for once i actually have a horse that is more than capable, but i just couldnt afford to do it. It's the getting over there thats the problem!! Plus i have so many other things i'd love to achieve.

How old do you have to be for the veterans? Might be my only chance

Fee - yep, I took part in the inaugural ones, it has changed a lot now as they have it all at one venue, before it was in 3 and we travelled. Sooo much fun, great course building, great parties, good competition. Most of the pics I have posted on here of me SJing in Spain are from the tour - lots of flags and banners and stuff LOL! Oh, and the prize money was excellent too LOL!
My dream is to compete at HOYS on my boy.....he has the scope there but its currently the 4 fault itis that is holding us back........oh .........and the lack of suitable transport
To have a single season where the stupid ponies did not break themselves in some stupid way....
Every year one of them does something stupid ruling themselves out for some reason.
When we were showing it was things like fracturing cannon bone in the stable (yes I know..... he has NO brain - choc Dun in my siggie)
Walking innocently between 2 horses having a kicking match and ending up with 8 staples in his shoulder - the grey.
Now we are eventing - kicking self in field and ending up having most of summer off - golden dun
Maybe its just time to start buying horses with brains.....
To buy a younger horse and have more fun than I realised I could have till last year and to keep my Jake in the manner in which he deserves to become used to!
one more event, especially the xc, burghley, gatcombe, i dont mind, just once more that thrill..
Feefee, Ill be at the sunshine tour, just drooling though, if you get to come down, maybe we see you there? ps (im a boring oldy so make sure I wont ruin your streetcred first!!). pm me if you get to come.
) so I'd love to compete at the BD regional finals some time in my life. Even get through to the championships...
My ultimate ambition is to compete at GP, whether that is affiliated or un-affiliated at the local college EC, so doing well at the lower levels in BD would make my dreams come true. Especially if it involved a gorgeous Spanish horse
Unrealistic lifelong dream: Take Charlie to Badminton! Just because i was told so many times when i got him that he was not sutiable and i was not experienced enough ect ect.
Realistic dream: Get him to novice end of next year. Hes so capable, just got to be more confident XC!
I would love to get to HOYS. And I Have always wanted to get into an evening perfomance at a show, never had a horse good enough but fingers crossed I can do the 2nd option this year
I'd love to jump at the Olympics - Never gonna happen!
I'd also really love to jump at Olympia - Not gonna happen unless they run a BN/Disco
Realistically I really want to get my horsey qualified for SCOPE (only the Katherine James or Adventura, nothing fancy) & start getting double clears round some bigger tracks. I'd also love to be able to afford a 2nd horse to compete.
The normal ones:
- To play in the A Grade finals at the polox national champs
- To SJ to Grand Prix level
The extreme one:
-To compete in a top level international team in either sport (Although to do that in both sports would be my ultimate, ultimate, ULTIMATE dream
to get my mare around an affiliated xc clear with no time and for the arthurmeister to get a low 30s tintinmediate test... feeling very grounded after yesterday!
