Would I fit an 18" VSD saddle in it, anyone know? If not, anyone know of any locakable similar for storing saddle at yard? Dont need it for a horsebox - just know of one going cheap:)

Thanks

I have a door mounting Tack pack on my ifor and I struggle to fit 15" pony saddles in there, can just about fir two in but it is a bit of a squeeze. It would probably fit bigger saddles in if you took of the girth, stirrups, saddlecloths etc but it would still be very tight.

I think the free standing ones fit bigger saddles in though.

My 17.5 inch Wintec VSD was a very tight fit, so I would say not, especially if you don't have a saddle cover on it...

Anything else I found was horribly expensive, so I will be watching this thread with interest :)

If it is the big one you can wheel about...yes.
I have no experience of the ones on the door.
Just out of interest...I only travel one horse in the trailer and the tack pack travels on the other side of the partition, bungeed to the sides and it is then easy to use and to get the horse in and out.
Best wishes
Bryndu :)

Honestly I struggled with my 18" saddle in the wheelie bin style IW tack pack, even when I had 2 17" saddles fitting both them and the bridles in was a struggle. I eventually never took it with me and it got used as a storage facility at home. When I sold my trailer the buyers were desperate for the tack pack so they bought it at more than I paid for it, pony saddles fit in it no problem.

Thats fab - and exactly what I'll get, if I can't fit my saddle in the tackpack. Thankyou so much. Would it take up an awful lot of room in a 12 x 12 stable? My boy is a good lad when he's in and wont wreck it. I've looked at the floor dimensions and they seem quite reasonable?
