I'm seeing a potential share horse today - Wish me luck!

Oh dear, that isnt good.

Baptism of fire as they say!

The owners of the horse probably feel awful about it. I would if my horse did that.

When you feel up to it, give them a ring to let them know you are ok and smile about it. :) If you are nice about it, even if nothing comes of this one, they may put you on to someone else.

If it was me I would go back with arm in plaster and help out with other stuff, and then next time you ride, take it more slowly. I have had sharers in the past who literally knocked on the door and asked to help out. They werent necessarily ready to get on the horses straight away but with a bit of help they did.

I agree with this.

Don't see it as a sign you should give up - its bloody bad luck, but sounds like just one of those things.

If you like the horse I'd definitely keep in touch and see if you can pick something up again when you're better.

Terrible luck though, I hope you feel better soon!

Hey Indie999 thats a bit of an assumption to make! I went to try a friends black TB gelding and I fell off trying him - it wasn't him or me - I saw her riding him and he went beautifully - it was US, we just weren't right! Bit unfair to say owners were being dishonest!

Abbie :( poor you hun, it is so typical, but please don't give up! What doesn't kill you makes you stronger they say and there is an element of truth. Going through it after, do you think you could have done anything differently? Even down to maybe letting owner ride the horse more etc? Sometimes we can learn from a situation and put the things we learn into practise next time. I'm sure there will be a next time hun as you have a wealth of enthusiasm and passion and that can get you through most things xx

There's been so much rubbish on here recently degrading the people on HHO, but this thread just proves how wonderful everyone is when someone needs some kind words and support.

To each and everyone of you, thank you
