Hi guys,
I just wanted to post as I'm so excited as its finally sinking in that I now have my own horse!
I've been to see him twice before buying, once with a knowledgeable horsey friend, and then again with my Mum last week as she wanted to meet him and to pay the remainder of his cost.
He has had his 5 stage vetting last week and passed with flying colours so his arrival date at his new home with me is 3rd Sept!
Although I've loaned/shared horses before, this is my very own horse (at the grand age of 30!) and it feels amazingly different already.
I worry of course if I've made the right choice and that I'll do right by him but I guess thats normal.
Today I took the dogs down to the stables where he will be kept with 3 others and they loved running around while I had a clean up and got all his things ready. It all looks so new and shiny so I'm making the most of clean stuff while it lasts!
He is a 15hh bay Criollo horse. 5 or 6 years old (I need to check his passport), sweet natured and very comfortable
I do have a photo but not sure how to post. If I can email it to another member to post that would be lovely if someone doesnt mind doing that.
Also wanted to say thanks for helping me get this far with all your useful posts if I've asked a 'newbie' question
