I'm thinking of going to look at this mare......

I think she looks nice - not spectacular- doesnt look like she'll ever set the world alight but something to put some work into to become a nice allrounder.

Thanks, not sure that I have the budget for setting the world alight anyway!

It is to share with my husband who can be a little nervous so needs to be free from any nasty napping/bucking excessive spookiness. He wants to do dressage and maybe some showing I want to be able to do some hunting and maybe work towards eventing. So we need something that is genuinely an allrounder with a reasonable amount of talent as we are already competing unaffiliated and would like to have the opportunity to do more in time. But it will be our first horse of our own so we don't want to over face ourselves either!

She looks sweet! It doesn't look like she tucks her legs up very high for jumping but that could be just because it is a small jump! Let us know how you get on :-)

((Does anyone else go through phases of looking at horses for sale on the internet even though they already have one and couldn't possibly afford two, or is it just me??!!))

Thanks, I liked the look of her, so many adverts I look at and just think - meh! but I think I'm just not very good at looking at adverts and also because I'm not dead certain what I'm looking for because it has to be a bit of a compromise. I was hoping to find something via word of mouth via my instructor or something so that we know a bit more history but we haven't had much luck so far!

might be me being cynical but the phrases 'keen' and 'experienced rider' would set alarm bells off and make me think she is not going to be straightforward so may not be right for what you are looking for? i would definitely ask them why they have described her as such if you call?

I think she looks a lovely sort, I agree maybe not a set the world alight, but hey, they are often the most fun sorts of horses! :)

I think she looks nice and with work will be able to do what you want, (obv depends on when u see her in flesh!) her confo looks ok.
Make sure when u try her you a) see them ride her on both the flat, and over a jump and down the road/field for her hacking/hunting potential. b) you do it on her too!

If you feel you are good enough to bring on a green 7yo then ye she looks great, but just remember some people say "green" when they mean "can be a naughty little turd!" so just keep eyes peeled for any indicators! :) but you know you and your husband's ability so only you can judge how suitable she is for the two of you.

But I can definetly see why she caught you eye she is v pretty :)
