Imaginary horse shopping - just for fun!

I can picture that head over my stable door!

I am truly in a fantasy world looking at that mare because I'm in the USA haha. We don't have such a thing as your "cob" here (the term "cob" in the US comes from Welsh Cob, i.e., larger pony with a refined head--that's why cob sizes on US bridles are smaller than full/horse sizes). Anything in the US close to this mare would be 17+ hands and a plow horse for the Amish. Finding a chunky gal like that at 15.1 would make me weep with joy. I spend an embarrassing amount of time looking at "British cobs" online because they are absolutely dreamy.

I bet anyone with a horse to sell has their fingers crossed that their horse will be selected for this list of HHOers pick of the best :)
You are more honest than I am. I wouldn't have my fingers crossed, I'd have them skittering about the keyboard making a HHO profile so I could be on here saying "ooooh look at this one!"

This is much more enjoyable than my real search where I'm questioning every word in the adverts ? I'm also ignoring the prices which makes this loads better!!

Haha, it is way more fun when the prices (and details) are irrelevant.

If I wouldn't be immediately single I would, I have looked at her ad several times the last few days ? shes only half an hour away

Ohhhh, so close! But I guess we can't have them all.

Danger zoooooooone.

This is a very reasonable price and just up the road? Is the potential argument worth it? Surely he wont divorce me just for buying a horse lol ?View attachment 106301
If that horse is actually in Scotland - hell, if that horse is actually owned by the advertiser, or even up for sale at all - I'll eat my hat.
I'm not...is it because email only? Please educate the 'innocent, gullible' ones on here that might not have your knowledge. Doesn't Horsemart police it?

Not familiar with the genre, but a photo that looks US, and a description written in US-ian language (but allegedly in Sheffield) would ring alarmbells.

I am not in the habit NB of searching for horses so I did not know either that it was a scam advert?
Of course you are asking for a friend.!! I just checked to look at donkeys and it's not very clear in the catalogue. Maybe 'your friend' could email and ask?

The price the email only, the American terminology and photo are a dead giveaway. If you still arent certain then googling the phone number brings up multiple dodgy ads of various breeds, all American terminology and all 3k

my friend has done some Googling and you can bid online.. she is now just trying to think where on earth she could put him while he has his nads off!

Bit naughty, but I dont do any other social media so Id never have seen that ?
I did a google image search--it's one way to make sure the person you're talking to (or the horse you're looking at) is legit. In this case, the horse/rider/terrain looked suspiciously American, and the image search proved the horse is in the USA and was listed for $25,000. Someone somewhere found the picture online and is using it as part of a scam.
