The company that makes it says this has been officially passed by the Police on there advert. So it should be ok.

They have definitely got Police approval according to the lady at Equisafety I spoke to. I ordered mine a month ago and still haven't got it I've emailed them and am still waiting to hear if and when I get my order, so don't hold your breath if you order from them.

It's fine. It doesn't claim to be the police. And the Batten burg is perfectly legal for anything, not just for use in the police.

Have not read all posts but I have one and I have read either on company's website or article about this vest that they have OK'd it with the police as obviously close to the mark. I think even if it just makes drivers hesitate and brake to slow their speed a bit it's a good idea.
