When Ellie was pts last February I adopted another bitch called Poppy. After a few weeing incidents during the first couple of weeks, she was absolutely fine for six months then for no reason that I know of, she has started weeing in the lounge. It used to only be once a week but now she is doing it at least once a day and I really am at my wits end!
She used to always do it in the same place despite using countless different urine eliminators so I put down a couple of incontinence pads. This was ok for a while but then she started going on her duvet which is quite difficult to wash as it only just fits in the machine.
She has had tests done at the vets and there is nothing physically wrong with her and she can go all day without weeing if I'm at home. It also doesn't seem a separation anxiety thing as she is always lying on the sofa when I leave and when I get home.
Any ideas on how to stop her doing it when I'm not there? And what can I use to get rid of the smell as I haven't found one product that works yet?
There is no way she is going back to kennels as I've had her a year and apart from this she is a lovely dog. I just don't want to spend the rest of my time with her continually clearing up urine!
