re interesting article in todays H&H. Vets say riders weight should be no more than 15% of the horses weight. How many riders are in denial about their weight and the fact they are too heavy for their horse?
NO MORE !!!!!!!
Its long term cumulative damage that is done by being too heavy for a horse. Why so obsessed? Not obsessed but concerned for the horses welfare. Why are you so obsessed with this. People do lots of things you may not approve of. Just concentrate on your own horse. If the Arab wasn't coping it wouldn't pass the vet at the end of the ride.
Can someone please start a Parelli thread for distraction![]()

I love a good parelli thread. It's my favourite subject![]()
Oh, I'm in denial alright, in denial about everything, how much I weight, how much the horses weigh, how much they cost, how much my gear costs, how old I am, does my arse look good in this... all sorts
You could say I'm deranged or just a happy person, I maintain I can't do percentages anyway and that's the version I'm sticking to.

There's one going, Parelli and foals off you go and enjoy .
Have you graduated from the famous Littlelegs' School of Levitational Horsemanship?I think as long as you are fit and healthy then your weight shouldn't matter. Surely everyone should aim to be as fit and healthy as possible, it's better for you, better for your riding, better for your horse. Doesn't mean you'll only weigh 8 stone though
