[/ QUOTE ]And this is where I bang my head on the wall and want to scream. Please, please, please read the post that I took so much trouble over concerning leverage. What is a gentle squeeze in your hand does not necessarily translate to gentle in the horse's mouth when using a lever bit. With snaffles, what you give is what the horse gets. With a lever bit, your 'gentle' squeeze might be the equivalent of getting socked in the jaw for the horse.
