Hi- I have a 3 1/2 yr old tb filly (ex-racer) who i'm hoping to take in-hand showing at the weekend to do a youngstock class. This is really for experience as i just want to get her out & about, so dont want to spend loads on showing gear at the moment!
I have a good quality plain brown bridle (not an in-hand bridle), which i was going to use with a nice velvet browband. My fiend has lent me an in-hand lead rein with chain, but i would prefer to use plain reins over the head, as i feel more comfortable leading her like this (the chain on the lead-rein is very thin and a bit awkward to hold :-/)
Would bridle and reins be ok? Its only a local show, but dont want to look like a complete wally on our first time out
Thanks!
