Insert all the swearwords here including the worst one of all... (TW/CW dog illness)

I read somewhere that sighthounds are the wrong shape for swimming. Not sure how true that is but the only time one of mine ended up out of his depth by accident, his dog paddle was a pitiful and ineffective frantic thrashing so there may be a good reason many of them do not like swimming.
Interesting as my wonky terrier also can't swim well. He's long bodied and sort of swims upright thrashing with his front legs. The physio said it will make his back worse if he swims like this so that's why he has the treadmill.

Physio exercises ongoing. I'm not sure if wishful thinking but both OH and I think we can see a difference in her hip muscles already. Her hip points look a bit more covered and her bum has a bit more shape!

Current lick mat combo is frozen peanut butter and yoghurt. Next is a sardine smudged in yoghurt. Trying to make things that last long enough that she likes is challenging. Plus I'm allergic to the peanut butter so if OH wants to take a turn at the exercises we need to switch up the topping 😂

She is feeling really good. Super happy on her walks and often quite bouncy at home. Also has started badgering OH for breakfast and her morning walk at 5.30am.

We tried a night light for her again and all of a sudden she's settling at night. She's never had that before so not completely sure what it's about but if it works it works I guess?

This bed had been made in the morning - what a monkey! She's not really supposed to be doing things like jumping on the bed but she managed to sneak in yesterday.

My youngest swims like a seal, same with a previous dog I've had. But they do seem to have a tendency to tense up and thrash their front legs about. But they definitely can swim, some do just hate it though!
