I have 3 horses but only two of them are insured. I'm paying over £50 a month for the pair of them and while I really need to insure the 3rd one I could really do without paying any more!

Are there any companies that offer insurance for multiple horses? What sort of amount could I expect to pay?

Thanks in advance :)

Depending on what you want to insure for it might be easier to become a gold member of the BHS which gives you third party and public liability insurance for all your horses and costs £50 for a year.

I've got four horses and it costs me £240 a month to insure them all! gulp

They are all insured for loss of use and vets fees.

Blimey

I should probably say that mine are not competition horses, one is a 16 year old TB, the other is a section A and the 3rd is an un-backed, large Welshy.

I want the insured for loss of use and vet fees :)

OP - I looked at www.insuremyhorse.co.uk a few weeks ago for quotes. Cheaper quotes for my situation did come up, but it didn't include loss of use or the level of vets fees I wanted, as one of my horses is 17.

I really should shop around I think to lower my costs, but I'm worried that if i drop the vets fees then the next month (sod's law) I might need the cover. Have never had a claim before, but would be my luck I'd need the cover.
