Insurance query - loss of horse in last 3 years

An insurance company can ask anything they like, even if you don’t feel it’s directly related to your policy. To knowingly answer incorrectly is insurance fraud but what you genuinely do not know, you don’t know and should be noted as such as the insurance company can then decide on the risk.

OP you can ask the insurer, just call customer service and ask for clarification on that term as to whether that’s the owner, policy holder or carer of the horse.

If you do that on a car insurance policy you will be marked as additional risk and have a higher premium. I wouldn't risk it.
