Who do you all insure with? I have a horse on full loan and for my own piece of mind I need to insure him at least for vets fees.
I have always owned by own horses and been with NFU before.

Yeah I insured my loan horse with kbis and they noted on the policy that the horse was a loan. I only insured for vets fees.

My last loan agreement stipulated I must insure for £4.5k death & theft. I chose to add vet fees so I could cover the basics and if it went over the claim limit the owner could decide if she wanted to pay for further treatment. I chose E&L as they were the cheapest and ultimately it wasn't my horse so the buck stopped with the owner rather than me - she's a business and none of the horses on her yard are insured so anything is better than nothing.
E&L have now changed their policies and they cover even less so I haven't used them for my new purchase - I have gone with KBIS.

I used E&L many years ago and they never paid out so unfortunately they are on ecompany I refuse to use! KBIS seems to be the way to go!

I used petplan for my loan pony. They insured him the same as if I had owned him, I just had to send a copy of my loan agreement.

What do you all have on your policies? Do you have things like loss of animal, personal accident? public liability?

I have had a quote with KBIS and NFU.

I do have a Harry Hall One Club membership which i know covers some insurance so I just need to check what it covers.

I have public liability through other things so I just had vets fees and theft/death, though as the horse wasn't mine it was insured for a nominal amount. though mine was from a rescue so I didn't have to worry about compensating an owner if the horse died.

Yeah I am unsure if to insure it for the value "they would sell it for if he was sold". They haven't requested I insure him so this is my decision. For me it's mainly vets fees i need to know are covered. What is your vets fees amounts you all insure for?
