I have just won a training bursary from my Rc I wanted to do a intensive dressage course at AM dresage but the first one I can get into is May or July I really wanted to go Late jan early feb. Is it worth waiting for or can any recomend anywhere else to take my horse?

You can stay over and have multiple lessons at AM dressage without it being a specific course. It's more fun if you go with someone though, although I only say that as I don't like sleeping by myself in the truck!!

You can go to AM outside of the courses - it's just as good (personally I prefer it actually).
I think the yard is closed in Jan (you would need to double check that). I'm booked in 9&10 Feb for a pre regional tune up. If you want Feb you will need to book ASAP as they get packed out around the regionals.

Summerhouse ec (Gloucester) - Sara gallop is excellent although I'm sure they must have other good instructors. You could then have school master lessons too.

Yorkshire Riding Centre is FAB, good accommodation and I love my lessons with Jane Bartle. Not cheap, but what I like is that you can have a lesson on your horse AM, have a FAB hack PM, and there are world class riders training there all the time to watch:-).

YRC is great, good accommodation so no need to sleep in the lorry mid winter, and I love my lessons with Jane Bartle.

It is not cheap, but you can have a lesson in the morning, a lovely hack in the afternoon, and best of all there are always world class riders training there to watch and learn :-)

You can book a room in the house quite cheaply, fairly basic but warm and very comfortable. Lots of people do an overnight ie lesson in the afternoon of one day and a morning lesson the next. Better value than a course if you don't want the non ridden element.

Or...you can stay with me for whatever time you are there as I am 10 minutes down the road. :) xxx

GG that's a lovely offer.
Ill email them Monday.
Sneedy ill possibly come to that anyway getting the dressage bug lol!

You're more than welcome. You must like dogs and muddy horses....and unless it is in the next couple of weeks...you must love little Welsh ponies and weanlings :)

From my place to AM dressage is 3 turns. It couldn't be easier :)

Oh looks like I can go in January any recommendations or information on what I need to know/take with me. I'm very excited! !

It's all pretty fun/relaxed.
The overnight charge covers stabling, bedding, hay (I think, double check though, I take my own). The stables have trugs for water in them already. So just take your own hard feed and mucking out stuff.
There is hook up for the lorry or you can pay extra for a room in the house overnight. 2 showers a available too.
They also cater in the evening for you, Adam usually cooks, plus there is usually alcohol floating around. There is a large heated kitchen/social area at the end of the big indoor school with tea/coffee/squash/toast and fridge/freezer if you want to keep your wine cold!! Plus a TV.

There has always been at least 4-6 others staying over when I have been.
Seating in corner of indoor school, so worth watching others lessons as you learn a lot that way.

You will usually share the school with another 1-2 others and you can go in early (or use small school next door) to warm up if you want.
