Bear, aka Bearcub, I am Groot, Predator-has an unnervingly hard stare like he’s focusing his shoulder canon!, Rorschach. Obsessed with staring at the frogs in the pond and retrieving tennis balls. Velcro dog, loves cuddles, makes it clear he prefers me. Very obedient, excellent recall, eats anything, fond of dandelion leaves.

Zak, aka puss cat, the werewolf, ‘your’ dog (not mine!), sand dog, because you fall asleep if he gets on your knee. Other names too rude to post. Loves cuddles once he knows you, has a large vocabulary, is terrified of all other dogs, huge prey drive. Far too clever for his own good, takes the piss terribly. Boundary pusher.

I don’t really think mine need introducing? But sorry, I can never resist ?

George... also know as Squee terrier because every time I looked at him I thought ‘Squee!’ as he is so sweet ? Very very VERY noisy, typical opinionated terrier but I love him to bits ❤️ and can absolutely overlook/strictly manage his adorable ? habit of randomly attacking other dogs if given the opportunity ?

Millie lurcher - also known (due to the HHO user @milliepops!) as Popple Dog, Popple Monster etc ? Delightful, endearing, loving, playful, mardy, argumentative, difficult and zero recall ? THE most difficult lurcher I’ve ever had and because of her I have sworn never to have another!

Marty - also known as Marvin the paranoid android, he just has that persona ?? well behaved, never puts a foot wrong, loving, affectionate... what every greyhound boy should be ❤️❤️❤️❤️

F89F120F-3946-4758-BCB0-3B9BF4A82726.jpeg

And last but most definitely not least the small donkey also known as Ace! The hugest greyhound I’ve ever had, he has taken so long to settle in but he is so totally and utterly rewarding ❤️ To see him play, come for cuddles, all the ‘usual’ things you expect from a dog make me emotional even now, he really had no idea when he arrived a year ago having come from a vile racing kennels. One of the best gambles I’ve taken when adopting a dog, love him to bits even if he isn’t the brightest spark in the world ?❤️❤️❤️❤️

Sorry.....I’ve said this so many times on here about all of them... but I am a middle aged besotted dog owner which I think you all realise by now ?? x

Teddy, my apricot toy poodle. His registered name (breeder’s choice!) is Lord Teddy Bear of Chichester. Lost count of no. Of times people have asked ‘Is he a cockapoo?’ My reply now is ‘no he’s a Poopoo’. I chortle to myself as I walk away :D I call him Teedy bear or Teddy Weddy woo woo.

I feel like a lot of people probably know Roxie as I post about her a lot ?

She’s a nearly 2 year old (where has the time gone?!) Dachshund x JRT

Names: Roxie, Roxiepopple, pup pups, poopy, Roxiedog

She’s my first dog and definitely the apple of my eye! She has the Dachshund stubbornness, but is so clever. She picks things up instantly which is fun when you accidentally teach her the wrong thing ?

She’s a brilliant yard dog, but also such a snuggler.

I have so many photos, but I’ll try to stick to just a few!

Hero - Mrs Spaniel/gormless idiot. Super cuddly, ball obsessed. Completely neurotic. Believes the world is there to be her friend but needs a paw holding every now and then. Expects people to fix all her problems.
Celebrated her 6th birthday recently. Owned since she was 11 months after previous owners marriage broke up and neither wanted her. Her real name doesn't suit her at all and she does respond to Mrs Spaniel more than anything else!

Cocoa -Miss Collie/feral brat dog/bloody animal
Currently using lockdown to get to grips with our many issues, she has been the definition of blood, sweat and tears. Adopted at 7 months, now 15 months
Hugely fear reactive, to begin with I had to muzzle her, and keep her on a short lead and cross the road repeatedly to avoid people/dogs/cars anything that moved. One memorable occasion sitting on her to stop her getting a friend. Believed attack was first form of defence and didn't have any confidence in humans to look after her.
Now safe off lead and off muzzle, she has several friends that she loves and plays with and I can trust her in 99% of cases to interact safely with other dogs. I.e ignore them or greet politely if they approach

Would have made a great herding dog, slowly adapting to London life. Can pass joggers and cars now without attempting to herd and 8/10 cyclists.

Photo taken after a LOT of hard work getting her used to the horses, doing ride and lead and taking a leap of faith and letting go of the rope for the first time on Easter weekend. Plan is to eventually debut her at flyball and start agility lessons with her when they start up again.

Bruno (Noo/Noog/Ginge)- 14 year old Irish Setter, who was a rescue from an awful situation. He was so fear aggressive at first that I coudn't take him out in public, as he snarled and snapped at anyone who got near him.
Nowadays, he is the softest, most ridiculous people pleaser ever, and firmly believes that it's important to make a new friend every day. Takes me twice as long as it should to get anywhere, as he has to stop and chat to everyone he passes. He leans heavily on people, and gazes lovingly into their eyes. Sometimes he wraps a leg round their leg, so they can't escape the love-bombing.
He loves people, his toy monkey/pheasant, and singing the songs of his people. Not interested in other dogs, and is a fussy devil to feed. Either full on, or fast asleep - there is no happy medium.

Here are my dogs.
The big girl is JD. She’s an 11 year old Husky X Great Dane and I rescued her when she was 4-months. She’s the love of my life, an absolute legend. Starting to slow down a bit now, but still doesn’t act her age. She was called Jade when we got her, which I assume is after Jade Goody as it was the year she died. I wasn’t keen on the name so changed it to JD, for Jade Dog. We affectionately call her ‘Old Stick’ now, poor thing! She is a loyal dog and my best friend, and very much the dominant bitch in our pack of dogs, but she has always welcomed the younger dogs in, plus my brothers mad Mali. She only has to look at them and they all behave! She was like a local celeb when I got her as no-one had ever seen a dog that looked like her before. I used to get stopped constantly by people asking what breed she was. I still feel proud walking her.

Bess is the little black dog. She’s a Cockerpoo x Corgi and she’s 3. She was the impulse purchase when I went to collect Polly... I came home with a puppy as well! She’s affectionately known as ‘Boo’ or ‘Pad Pad’. She got the nickname Pad Pad from the sound of her little feet when she was a pup, padding around the laminate floor. She’s a sensitive soul, doesn’t like doing anything wrong and is first on the scene to tell the other animals off if they misbehave, which has given her another nickname... ‘PC Bess’!

The little golden princess is Lily-Rose. She’s a Shih Tzu x JR and she will be 1 next month. She’s a sassy little monkey, doesn’t care what anyone thinks and lives by her own rules! She’s absolutely fantastic. We call her ‘Mooshy’ because I said that she had a little ‘mooshy’ face/pout and it stuck. When she is naughty she gets her full title! I got her because I fell in love with a Shih Tzu when I was doing my dog grooming qualification last summer and decided I had to have one!

Herbie aka Herbs, Burble, Pups and Toots. He's a 2 year old JRT. He's hugely affectionate to Mr EM and me but wary of strangers especially if coming into our house. His favourite thing is cuddling up in a fleecy blanket between us.

Hector aka Heccypie, Hex and Pud due to his round shape and short legs. He's 8 years old and totally obsessed with tennis balls and socks. He absolutely adores Mr EM and doesn't mind me!

I adore them both and they are keeping me sane just now during these horrible times. Poor Hector really is a funny soul, his legs are so short when he sneezes he smacks his chin off the floor!

I make no comment about George ?

I do thank my lucky stars on more than a daily basis that I have my 4 to keep me (relatively!) sane, as I live on my own, even though my friends are fantastic, I’d be lost without them ❤️

Brilliant action shots! Were you lying flat out to get those??

Delilah. Aka Dee, little Dee, lila bean, titch
She's my little shadow, loves a fuss more than any animal I've ever met, talks to you and gives you a high five, and is one hell of a vermin hunter. She's 12 now, and came into my life when i found a box of tiny malnourished puppies outside a dog dealer's gate one early December morning. Dee was very weak so I took her home for the night and, well, she stayed . This pic is from when I came home from work, she jumped in the car and promptly fell asleep on the seat

Eira. More commonly known as the grub, grubby, scruffy, whatamess. 9 yrs old, she was a preloved rehome at 10 months - she dug up their garden, collected slugs and snails and brought them into the house, wasn't really house trained and growled at everyone. She's all the things people warn you of with westies. Bad skin, dodgy hips, wants to fight the world and is basically untrainable. But god I love her, and she is the apple of my OH's eye. Very affectionate and funny these days, but does still like to order everyone around.

Suzie: SuziePoo, White shuck, Princess, shithead, white dog. Typical Westie, feisty as anything, great fun and adorable. Old girl now, just coming up 14 and really showing her age over the last few months. Always had the terrier selective hearing but now going slightly deaf and a little senile. We got her 12 years ago as a re-home, she was a right handful.

Nula, 12 years old, mostly called noodle but also doodle, doodle bug, bug, pumpkin or fatty dog. She's the most stubborn dog we've had yet but not in any way that causes a problem, has zero prey drive and absolutely wouldn't survive without her human slaves to frequently provide food for her ?

driving in cars, preferably with his head out of the window, or on one near disaster, out the sunroof ?‍♀

Eira is similar, and on one heart stopping occasion did take the notion to jump out the car window while driving along. It was vaguely impressive as it was the driver's window she went out of...one minute she had he paws in the back of the driver's seat, the next she was out the window. Fortunately it was a very quiet road and she managed to get away with it without a scratch on her
