Buddy my Cockapoo, aka Budster, Poo and Sweetiepoo. He’s 4.5 and just the best companio, is mad for a ball throw, loves playing hide & seek and has been super easy to train from day one. Tentatively looking to get a female Cockapoo when lockdown is relaxed.

Bobo and Luna the loony! Mr Bo man loves to sing along to the radio, has a couple of favourites, can be quite alarming when he belts out a song in the car. Lulu likes to talk, A LOT. She is also a lean mean hunting machine. Always on a long lead when out and about, and as myxi is rife where I keep the horses, she has been putting at least one a week out of its misery.

Strike (Strikey, Baba, Babacus ?)
19 months old.
Total soppy sook with his family but great watch dog, had a very powerful bark from puppyhood. Loves his yellow ball, swimming, using his nose and eating gravy bones or ginger biscuits. Very obedient and biddable.

Tay (Taser, Taytay, Witch)
9 months old
Bossy, opinionated and prone to a little screeching when excited (we’re working on that!), wee speed merchant who loves to jump, swim and chase anything that moves. High prey drive but great fun to work with. Very sweet when tired ?

Fizz aka Lady Muck, The Diva, Princess, Princess Pissy Pants, Fizzabella, Fizzy Wizz, Fizzabella Sh*tbag Jones, The Good Child.

She's a perfectionist and prone to give up if she doesn't pick something up quickly. Will scream when cold, does not like rain, mud, the cold and is more than happy to let you know she's unhappy. She has stopped under the gazebo at the flyball comp (therefore not completing her run) and hid until the line judges table because it was raining. Loves people, likes other dogs but doesn't want to play with them. LOVES flyball, likes her soft frisbee but catching is not her forte and I have a firm belief she is the slowest whippet in the BFA although she can find the turbo button if she thinks the dog in the next lane might beat her. Loves and will do anything for food. Not a big cuddler but likes to be sat near you. Does not like but tolerates her baby brother, until someone has a go at him then she's straight in to save him. Total diva princess who rules the house.

Dobby aka Dobby Dog, Dobby Doo, Dobberroo, Roo, Moron, Kn*b Dog, Oi, Don't You Bloody Dare, The Problem Child.

Loves life, loves people, loves dogs. All round happy chap although the saluki gob means many people don't quite get him. If you aren't super interesting, he will find his own fun and it normally involves running at 100mph and trying to get others to chase him. Obsessed with tennis balls and his discs and is very smart and athletic. Total class clown with a heart of gold. Velcro dog who has to be cuddling me as often as possible. Some recall issues and does not like dogs staring at him (which is great when he does flyball with lots of collies!) and sometimes his joy for life make training an issue but he's starting to get there and the hard work is worth it. Is head over heels in love with an older red head collie who hates him. Loves my niece who is 6 months older than him and they are the terrible twosome when together (think fridge raiding, digging holes in the garden together etc). Loves muddy puddles and streams, esepcially as zooming through them normally mean his big sister will chase him.

20200425_150028.jpgBorder terrier is Hooray Henry, usually known as Hen and collie is just known as Mouse. Their favourite activities are hiking, camping, swimming and fostering any small animals or birds. Hen would also include barbeques on his list of happy things. Mouse is the sweetest, kindest dog ever born and Hen is totally loved because he has sussed out that the penalty for doing naughty things is worth it. Always.

Daisy aka Days/Dogo/Dogbert/Shit bag, 4.5 year old lab x gsp, Loves chasing cats/sheep/boar/deer but has no interest in catching them, massive wimp and is scared of most other dogs especially if she is on the lead (sits down and completely shuts down if something is in her face on the lead), used to enjoy chasing balls/sticks but isn't allowed any more as too accident prone! Comes with us hiking/camping/canicrossing and has recently settled in well to having a new baby in the house. Never planned to have a dog whilst both me and the husband are working full time but we've just about made it work!

Red - 1 year old (Irish Terrier) aka Dedly, Dedders or Redly :) And Bess 13 year old (fell hound) most frequently known, for no known reason as Bangers... I have fab pictures of Bess but most are too large to load sadly. :( Loads of pics of the little Irish one doesn't mean that Bangers is not equally loved or photographed - I feel compelled to say that :) :) :D:cool:IMG_20200314_134815_1.jpgPhoto0205 (2).jpgIMG_20190608_155407.jpgIMG_20191002_101201.jpgIMG_20200314_134815_1.jpgPhoto0205 (2).jpgIMG_20190608_155407.jpgIMG_20191002_101201.jpgIMG_20191002_101201.jpgPhoto0205 (2).jpgIMG_20190608_155407.jpgIMG_20191002_101201.jpg

Yes, Bess is fabulous - she is a stubborn, wilful, sensitive, sneak thieving, charming tough old thing and we all adore her in spite of the frustrations of living with her!! I would happily have another fell hound though I will need a few decades to forget what it is really like to live with a retired hound...nose hounds are, in my experience even more 'challenging' in their own way than sight hounds. Red also adores her and she him. Sorry about the pics - eek!! :) :)

This is Button

Button has more nicknames than any other dog I have ever had. To name but a few; Smelly Mellie, Miss Millington, Miss Pinkerton, Bea, Beaky, Beakington, Dolly. There are probably more.

Button was a ‘make way for a puppy’ surrender to rescue several years ago. They did however keep their younger dog, just got rid of her. She was eight years old at the time.

Button, I can say hand on heart, doesn’t have an aggressive bone in her body. She loves everyone and everything and has a ridiculously smiley personality. She is however perpetually under my feet, which can be quite irritating at times :)

She is spay incontinent but this is controlled with medication. She has also had a number of vestibular events but (touch wood) these are also under control with medication at the moment.

She‘s bonkers old now and will be 16 in August!! Her cruciate ligament ruptured 3 years ago and I can’t imagine that I nearly didn’t have the operation done because I thought she was too old then.

I really hope I can take her to the beach one last time, when corona restrictions are lifted because she loves the seaside but that will remain to be seen.
