Hi all, posted a few times previously but thought now I've got my lap top back with all my pics on I should properly introduce the old girl
This is Bonnie, our 15yr old black Labrador she lives with my parents in the Channel Islands but she's always been sort of my dog since getting her as a wee pup when I was 14yrs old
She was my best friend as a teenager, we did loads of Junior Handlers stuff, agility being her favourite, though she much preferred to jump the mini dog height, obedience depended on how stubborn she was feeling on the day and showing was always endured never enjoyed
We had a litter of puppies from her, and although having a list of names wanting pups she only had two, one of which we kept and the other went to a local lady, who we still see from time to time. Sadly she has out lived the daughter we kept, Tilly, who passed away after kidney faliure in Dec 2010 aged 10yrs old.
The old girl now lives a happy life at home in Jersey, still enjoys her food and going for regular sniffs down the beach despite being very stiff and only with one remaining eye, oh and attempting to gain the record for the worlds most grey hairs
She is on quite a lot of medication (mainly metacam) for her arthritis (too much agility
) but if anyone can recommend more natural products they have had good results with I'd love to know. I know she can't be around forever but anything we can do to make life easier for her in her later years is always a good thing
And in her younger days.....
and with her daughter ( they did have a bed each - honest!)
