FIRSTLY DON'T LOOK SHILS, you may well get offended ;) - He is a scary black and white fluffy creature :D

I have great pleasure to introduce my new horse Mr Fitzpatrick or Paddy for short.

15.2 Piebald IDX, 7 yrs, done a bit of everything showjumped, hunter trials, dressage, cross country and hunted in Ireland, safe horse and hack.

I have spent all night planning his new tack and rugs, Fairfax Dressage saddle in cob, Pink Equine Black with Forest Green coloured padding and Peridot Green crystal bridle, matching Forest Green cloth with his name on in White. Rambo Original with leg arches in yep you guessed it GREEN and to finish the look a Dever GREEN padded leather headcollar! For me OH has allowed me to order an Equetech GREEN show jacket with Silver piping and Silver buttons. I bet you can't think where I got the inspiration for all that GREEN :D:rolleyes:;)

I feel like such a kid, I have never been so excited to have a new horse and I have had loads over the years. Sorry if I offend you all for being so smug and happy :D;):D

To make Shils (if she has peeked) a bit more at ease and less repulsed, they are clipping and hogging him before he exits the UK with John Parker on his travels to Norway :D:D:D:p:D

Ooooooooo yummy!! :)

He just looks like you want to cuddle him all the time! :)

I kind of like him hairy though......... although I am sure smartened up he will look fabulous!

He looks lovely! Just my type of horse ;) I like cobs hairy but then I think he'll look good all smart.

What are you planning on doing with him?

I plan some unaffiliated dressage to begin then later affiliated and lots and lots of hacking and going in the sea when it gets a bit warmer. Hacking Ollie is pants as he is a rearing, spinning monster. It will be fun to go out hacking without feeling sick and dread.

So loads of schooling at home to get him transformed into the cob he should be, he looks a bit meek right now after a harsh winter. Lots of good grass and conditioning feed and a lot of hard work schooling to get him a muscular and grand coblet.

I'll be looking forward to seeing more pictures of him. I never say no to cob pictures! ;)

He'll be a really lovely horse when he's transformed.

assuming the green as hes irish!!!! lol - i have seen a lovely clover leaf quartermarker in robinsons would go lovely when you do dressage!!!!!

ETA - he is lovely!!!!!!!!!!!

He looks a nice chap and though I don't normally say this, one that will look very nice with the hair removed.

Have great fun with him, he really looks as though he will be a great little horse.

He is lovely. Hope they don't take that super moustache off him though!
I hope you will be really happy with him Vixxy.:D

What are you doing with the gorgeous grey in your siggie?

I asked for help from my first groom Sarah (when I had the riding school), she worked over with me around 5 years ago. Local for her as she lives around an hour from the yard. The vet Alistair was also really helpful and as part of the vetting saw him ridden and jumped.

Ohhh Shamrock quarter marker Mmm

My Grey Ollie will be sold on, he is my heart breaker he was great 5 yrs back but my health has declined a lot and due to that I have to openly admit so has my stickablity and he can be a live wire on occasions with bucking, rearing and the odd bronc. If you stay on (he is very good to throw the best of riders off) and tell him off he just quits and behaves. Trouble is I am finding it more and more dangerous as I am barely managing to sit to this stuff in the last year, he actually got me off the other day and it was my second fall in 15yrs and I hurt. He will be hard to sell due to this, he is not likely to change permanently for anyone, I have had some good riders on my yard and they have all had similar problem with him sadly. He cheeky, fun and so handsome, hence the heartbreak but I am missing out on lots of fun due to his behavior and risking my health every time I ride him as he is now too much for me (being **** at riding sucks, I have ridden all my life and hate admitting I am not so good at it now).

I thought well if I don't get a nice quiet horse then I should just quit, so Paddy and hairy it is :D

Thanks for all your lovely comments. I will admit I was not looking forward to what I perceived as downgrading from a nice fancy horse but now it is done I am super glad I made the choice.

He is gorgeous!! I am also in the leave hairy camp :D I think they look brilliant with their flowing manes, tails and feathers - plus its always something to hang on to lol! :p

He looks gorgeous, just my type of horse! I can't wait to see lots more pictures & read your updates on how he is getting on. Hope you have loads of fun with him.

He is lovely. Hope they don't take that super moustache off him though!

Totally agree! I must admit I am not usually a fan of (the looks of) cobs but he is so cute. LOVE the moustache!!! Think he suits being hairy.

Hope you have lots of fun with him!! And make sure you post pics when you're both 'greened up' :)

After just 3 days of thinking I need to advertise my Ols, he is sold already via word of mouth  He is being collected this weekend and I got the price I wanted :D The lady buying him knows of him through his old owner, so knows exactly what he is like. Tough jumping/dressage rider so he will be ok there.

Gosh within a week I have bought a horse and sold Ollie. It has been quite dramatic but then when I make up my mind and do something I rarely hang about.

Now I really need Mr Fitzpatrick to arrive soon, Rose the Welsh A is going to be brushed and cuddled to death by the time Paddy arrives. There are going to be tears on Morsund Farm this weekend. I know it is for the best and I am sure Paddy will take good care of me and in return have the best of everything and be incredibly spoilt with love and fuss.

Still unsure of whether to call him Fitz for short or Paddy....HELP choosing please :D
