Is 13.3 too small for me?

Going to see a new forest pony for full loan tomorrow who is 13.3, I'm 5ft 4 and 8st, and I would like to do a bit of everything. He sounds really lovely. Do you think I'll look big on him? Thanks

I'm your size and my NF is several inches smaller than that. I just about fit (feet don't go past her tummy (only just though!) and weight is more than fine). Her neck always feels v short though! 13.3hh would be plenty big enough if a chunky NF like my one.

I wouldn't say so. I hack my 13.3hh slender connie and I'm 5'7 and 10.5 stone. I don't jump and ride properly with her but obviously ur smaller and lighter so you'd be fine for proper ridden work I'd say.

Just depends how much you want him to take up your leg and what you want to do with him.

Great! I'm not too bothered as long as I don't make him look 12.2 ?. I just want to do a bit of everything, fun rides, hacking, lessons, showjumping, cross country, maybe hunting if I'm brave enough!

My son moved up a couple of months ago from a 13.2 NF (again not chunky or fine) to a 15.1 Connemara. He’s 5’7 and weight probably 7.5 stone. Weirdly he seems to fit both the pony and the new horse. Those little NFs seem to take up the leg.

I felt a bit big on him, he is really lovely but opinionated, I fell off! at the jump as he refused but she said he is like that and you have to really tell him! He refused twice but then she jumped on after and he once refused with her, then she got him going and I jumped him again. I'm not sure what to do should I have him on a month's trial? Heres a picture

It'll will only accept files under IMB. Use something like photoresizer to reduce the size.

It maybe worth going back for another try. Depends if the owner is happy for him to go out for a month. Is he far away from you? Was he ok otherwise? Has he been regularly ridden?

Okay thanks, yes she is happy for him to go for a month that is what she wants to do. He is about 2.5hrs away so quite far. Yes he was lovely really sweet other than that and really enjoyed riding him on the flat, he is spooking but that's doesn't bother me. Neither does the jumping really its the height. Thanks

Can you see pic? I felt okay on him he didn't take up my leg like I'm use too I'm use to more chunky except from my last pony who was 14.1 but quite fine. I normally ride 14hh - 15.2hh. Thanks
