Is anyone else having trouble selling?

if the pony is as good as you say then i'd get it to some shows so it has a bit of a record then you can try again at £3000, but as it is, it might be able to jump.. but will it jump a course with fillers? no parent would buy their child a jumping pony if it can't do those, so if you're using the pony's jump as the main selling point.. you need to back it up.


and as for trouble selling... i'm having trouble buying, so maybe there's just problems all round lol! ;)
 
Yes that photo is used in the ad along with ones of him jumping hedges etc.

He will jump fillers (won over fillers a few weeks ago) but there is no chance of affiliating him as they just don't have the time or competition experience to do it. I guess we could take him out to more local shows and try and get more rosettes under his belt and get him seen.
 
I'm glad you put this thread up! I've had my pony up for sale for about 3 weeks now, with not too much interest. Its a good pc pony, only 8, with tack and rugs, only up at £850 as I wanted a good home more than price! Thought she would have been snapped up! Now wondering if she looks too cheap and should I put the price up!

Perhaps its just a matter of right place, right time!
 
Have you got some flat and confo pics too though? Most children want to be able to do allsorts not just jump.

Has he done xc? What about PC camp? Games? Can you get the word out at pony club or advertise on their website?
 
Hi yes nothing seems to be selling my friend has a 16.1hh bsja show jumper for sale with winnings and is realy reasonably priced but hasnt had a phone call been on horsemart 2 weeks- Im so glad I have got my lovely cob " HOLLY " SHE IS JUST THE BEES KNEES !
 
I' ve not had much interest either after 5 week, only a few calls.

Its my daughter's horse 7 yr old gelding , allrounder, BSJA winnings etc. that we're selling as she is at Uni and has found it hard this year...so we are trying to sell now as its a good time of year to try and find him a good home.

Don't really want to drop the price too much as although expensive it reflects what we paid for him.

Signed up for expensive H&H add this week...hope it works.

Not having much luck selling my TB allrounder at the mo either! Have droped her price and got an add going in H&H next week. Im hoping for a better responce from that. Id advise going for an add in H&H for you.
