Is anyone else looking forward to Winter?

My boy has sweet itch, soooo, am just waiting till the first frost! No more midges! Hallelujah. Tho' I've turned him out today with no rugs or anything (naked!) coz its blowing a hooley here so its OK to do that. Its lovely to see him out in the field enjoying himself: and as he's always covered up, its a nice change to get a peek at him and realise what a bootiful boy he is ;)
 
I'm not looking forward to it as I can't ride! By the time I get home from work its pitch black and not benefiting from the luxury of a sand school (indoor or out) then its impossible to ride, so I usually turn my boy away for his annual holiday from end of October until about end of January. If this winter is anything like last winter then we'll end up with 3 months of permanent snow (I couldn't get him back into work until March!).

So what's to look forward to?! lol. You guys are crazy.
