I am about to offer £7000 for a lorry advertised for £7995 ono.

What do we think?

It's only flaws are that it needs taxing next month and there is a little play in the steering that needs to be adjusted. It was an advisory on the MOT so I am aware of what the actual problem is.

Putting off the phone call at the moment!

I'd do it, but explain why you are offering so much less and be rather nice about it!

Then if they refuse just say that you have my number if you ever change your mind, right now isn't the climate for buying lorries so if wait for a bit and don't contact them you may find that you get a phonecall a week or two later...

But you never know until you try! :D

they bought it for 9500 this year.

I've been to see a fair few now and this one was special. I felt so happy driving it too. Don't want to los eout but likewise can't really afford the asking price!

right okay... here goes.

about to press the call button :O eeeeeek

and they didn't answer. not sure it's something suitable to leave on an answer phone message

Good luck!

I offered £800 for a trailer originally advertised at £1,500. Got it for £900. Be as cheeky as you like, you can always up it a bit, but you can't go back down :)

we agreed a price.

they were willing to give it to me for the offered price but wanted their CCTV out as it cost a fair bit. It's a very good quality CCTV with a large colour screen and my first lorry reversing experience a lot easier!

We decided 7200 including cctv

Well done indeed :D :D

We were about to sell the Disco and buy a lorry, but the blasted beastie (Disco not horse lol) is losing power... So, need to get that fixed. Think we'll end up keeping it and get a lorry next year. Will keep your bargaining spirit in mind when we do (and save for a CCTV as your's sounds brill :D).
