Just wondering if there is a market for 2nd hand w.h.p. jumps, as in my dads top shed we have between 6 and 8 pairs of folding jump wings, (fit in the back of a car) and lots of cups. I think they are only about 4-4 1/2 foot tall, we used them a couple of times for a pony show we helped run, but have just been taking up room in the shed for a few years now. Is it worth trying to sell them? and where? I dont like ebay! and not having a pony anymore dont oftern go to local feed/tack shops!

Yes I would say there is a market for 2nd hand jumps, if you were closer I would have been interested in them!

Does your local paper have a horsey classified section? If so that would probably be the best place to advertise them.

Thats the other thing what would they be worth to someone? I was thinking around the £100 mark as they are in good order. Am I being unrealist or would I have my hand snapped off?

Yes, definitely - I would have been interested if you were closer.

I bought some show jumps from Ashford Horsey market once..... would also reply to advert in local rag, so you could try that.

Or, take a piccie of them all and post notice at local shows or Riding Club websites.

I'm sure they'll be snapped up.

A friend and I were given sole old jumps a couple of years ago. About 5 or 6 sets of winges (the proper staircase ones) and about 8-10 poles. My hubby changed all the bolts on them and tightened them up and they were good condition but needed painting. Sold them for about £180 and could have sole them 10 times over! Had a lady come down from Northampton to get them but had a wait list in case she didn't show! She did show and everyone was happy

I advertised on all free places, tack shop websites, adtrader and freeads and equineadvertiser.co.uk

Good news is they brought the wings I was thinking about!
But it made us really tidy out the shed and have found a couple more sets of wings 6 pairs of cups, some fillers, jump numbers and about 15 poles! Is that another £100 I could make? or should I just be glad of what I have got rid of, and pile everthing back in the shed?
