As a comfortable roller for lunging?

My trainer wants me to lunge my horse once or twice a week, which should be entertaining! I can't lunge him in a saddle as the flapping flaps (if that makes sense) will send him loopy and we'll end up wheel spinning and skiing around the arena - which obviously defeats the whole objective of the exercise.
He's also quite 'special' to girth up, hence why I'm after a comfortable roller that won't upset him.
Any suggestions please???!
Thanks!

Pop a poly pad underneath, and a girth sleeve? I always lunge with a pad under the roller, which should do the trick ..

I use a roller with my normal dressage girth which is elasticated and shaped - if you buy a roller make sure you get one which buckles up both sides then you can use a normal girth with it. And either a folded up polypad underneath, or if you're feeling really flush, you can buy specially made roller-shaped prolite pads :D

The Mark Todd roller is fluffy.

How about lunging with your stirrups down and tied together under his belly like you would do to a younsgter? Would control the saddel flaps too.

I've got a Pessoa Roller its gorgeous soft leather but quite expensive and comes with its own girth..

Thanks for all the suggestions! Who'd have thought buying a roller would be such an ordeal!
I definitely can't use my saddle (he really does have 'special needs'!!), so will look at getting a roller where I can use my dressage girth which has a lovely fluffy Mattes girth sleeve on it!!
Thanks again everyone!
