I remember being told Highlands were good for novices and were ploddy. Can I have a refund please because mine is defective?
Went for hack to start fitness programme. We trotted most of the way with some sporadic, no brake canter's along the way. We went past some workmen who probably think we're a bit mental as at that point I was explaining the finer points of the various gaits.
"Walk is a 4-time beat and trot is a 2-time beat and you horse are doing the latter but you should in actual fact be doing the former." I can't imagine why but said pony ignored me.
A 30 minute slow, leisurely hack turned into a 15 minute, don't want to enjoy the scenery today hack.
Said pony has not been ridden for 4 months and barely broke a sweat and breathing was back to regular within 10 minutes. Urgh, my own fitness is terrible.
So, kimblewick time me thinks. Unable to school as fields are too wet.
