Just a question, does anyone know if the bridle below is BD legal. It is not shown on their approved tack, but it also doesn't show it as not allowed. See confirmation below that it is Dressage Ireland legal, so just wondered if the same would apply in the UK?

I saw a debate about this recently, because it doesn't really have a noseband. It has a loop of leather across the nose, but it isn't a noseband, in that it doesn't wrap around the nose.

I would contact BD directly, because it isn't clear from their tack lists or the rules.

I think it might not be as there is no strap under the bit like the micklem.

There was a post about this bridle on one of the FB groups last week - the poster emailed BD and they said it wasn't legal as it doesn't have a noseband. Annoyingly I now can't find the post so it would be worth emailing BD directly, but expect it to be a no.
Edit: there was a big discussion on said post about why it was DI legal but not BD, which is why it stuck in my mind.
