Is this completely wrong or can I get away with it? *Bling Alert*

OK.. so after a bit of bad news yesterday (cant ride until the doctor clears me!) but can now walk again, I am trying to complete my show look..

A few of you may remember my post on my bling bridle dilemma a few weeks ago. Well I opted out as I have decided he is much more of a cream & gold type horse anyways and ordered a lovely browband. It arrived today and looks nicer than I expected! Very well made too so I don’t think he will be able to rub any of the crystals off! What do you all think (should say that the lighting in my office is poor and it is on a choco-brown browband!). I have even tried it on myself and it looks so swish! (Yes, I am a loser ;)) My Pikeur Jacket also arrived and have to say that it too is also lovely. A bit worried that it maybe a bit too big in a few months time, but I guess it is better to be big than way too small.

Now, would it be extremely bad and wrong of me to team this browband up with an Agent Provocateur Swarovski Whip?? It was the only whip that had proper crystals and it seems to be a leather horse whip covered in crystals and labelled as an Agent Provocateur!

Let me know your thoughts :)

Aaaah. Go for it then! :D

Especially with the winter indoor ones coming up in the evenings...think of the sparkles under the lights ;)

Ooooooh it would be like twinkly xmas lights..........

*wanders off to ponder going to see the bankmanager for a loan for a trailer so that we can do some competing with crystals and spot lights*........:D

Ooooohhh I like your thinking Binky! Just hope none of the jumps nor indoors have any mirrors otherwise the boy might get a bit of a fright!

is it a horse or is it a poodle? I hate this whole 'bling' scene, its so.......naf. Each to his own though.

I'll have you know my poodles wouldn't be caught dead in sparkly bling. Anyhoot their coat is too fluffy, it hides the sparkle. The lurcher on the other hand, well her smooth coat and sleek lines mean twinkly crystals look divine.
:p

Go for it. Do love a bit of twinkle

Very true but I think it can be done tastefully..

Ooohh do you have a think row of crystals for your lurcher? That could look quite swish!

Where did u get the browband from?
I cant find anything in choco brown leather.
It was handmade by Saddlery4U - they are on eBay and have heaps of bling browbands. As it is made to order, they will make your browband on any colour you request!

I think they look snazzy - it looks so boring when you go to dressage and everyone looks the same:rolleyes: so if you like it why not have pretty things if you can afford to buy them and be a bit different to everybody else x

I always think that tasteful bling (if there's such a thing!) looks fab showjumping on horse and rider, but it can also make the rider look a tad foolish if they bomb in their class. Still, if it gives you confidence then go for it. It certainly isn't dull. :)

I think its nice, tastful is nice, I don't like the cheapy looking stuff, thats why I haven't bought any for mine, I don't compete or anything but want him to look nice not naf, I can't afford the nice stuff so haven't bothered

As many sparkly things as you can possibly cram in, as long as its all tastefull of course... :D And dont forget the glitter spray for tails and manes :D :D :D

I quite like sparkly pink things :D

i have a bling whip (the tackshop i got it from literally had everything in plain or bling!), it's by 'showbee' and looks nice without being OTT :) i saw a show jacketwith bling on the collar, i showed my mum and she said it looked naff, i can see her pint though a whip's enough!
