It made just £255 on ebay and my dad refused to let it go for that so never made it's reserve.

Where should I advertise my Arena Mate apart from local tack shops - do you think it is worth putting it in Pegasus or forking out for an ad in H&H?

It costs to list even if it doesn't sell so I was thinking maybe just bite the bullet and advertise in H&H.

Anyone sold anything else quipment wise through H&H?

Points to consider - when you relist it for free on ebay.

Firstly, you quote from the manufacturer's website that it will cope whatever the surface, then go on to say that you changed your surface and then needed a different piece of kit.

Secondly, stock photos are never a good selling point. Take some pictures of your actual item.

Thirdly, consider the category in which it is listed. How many people looking for arena levellers will be looking under Cars, Parts & Vehicles > Other Vehicles > Other Vehicles? Choose a sensible category and you might get more people looking and bidding.

Fourthly, as mother_hen said, that's around 50% of the new price, so not unreasonable. Although if you make the suggested changes you might get more for it.

Brand new it was £650 so it is not half-price.

Arena Mates are great for most surfaces but not sand and fibre which need to be reburied hence why we bought a specific sand fibre level.

There is no specific category for this item and surely most people do a general search by name rather than trawl through individual categories?

Have you tried the BD website, its free!

!) Yup, but they look at the net price, not gross. £510 is the bit they see on the web page, not the +delivery and VAT

2) But you don't say that, you DO quote "whatever the surface" and "for all synthetic surfaces" but then appear to contradict yourself.

3) They might well do so but you're not maximising your opportunities on inexperienced people searching. ie on a serach for Arena leveller or manege grader it won't appear if "search description" box is not ticked. So you need to alter your title as well!

Still, it's your choice, I merely made suggestions to try to help you sell it!

I have a bookmark on my tool bar that goes straight to the horsey stuff on ebay, I don't bother searching the rest of the site.

defo list under equestrian on ebay... i never look in any of the other catagories... people might not be looking for that item necessarily, but might (like me) just browse through 'equestrain', see it and think 'woo hoo'!

good luck selling!

p.s. is ad-trader.co.uk still free? try there.
