It's about time I introduced Oscar...

He's a cracker! I want!:D Quite glad I've read this, as I've been thinking of buying an Irish pony unseen as a project but worried it may go pear-shaped!

If I ended up with something half as nice I'd be chuffed to bits! ;):D

Very nice. You have a good eye for a horse if your other one is the one I think it is. :)

My other horse is the coloured ISH Finnegan, who gets nice comments when he's out so I guess he's the one you are thinking of ! So thank you very much, I like to think it's that, or maybe it's just luck ;)

Buying unseen was very nerve racking but a great experience and to be honest- I found out a lot more about this pony than the others I've bought as I had lots of time to think and ask about specific questions and replay the video over and over in slow motion to pick up things you would normally miss on a viewing.

I can't wait to see hope he shapes up, bringing on youngsters and inexperienced horses is definitely what I find the most rewarding.

Thanks for all the lovely replies, he spent his first night outside in England last night- did an 11pm check to make sure he was settled! He has his wolf teeth out yesterday afternoon but seems no worse for it, he's having a day off today as his mouth will be sore I'm sure (even thought the vet said I could ride today if I wanted to) I have some pics to post of his schooling yesterday but need to get them off my temperamental phone !

Yep, I really like the look of him. As you say, he has some room to grow out a bit in terms of muscle etc but seems a v nice stamp I must say. And I love that colour. Look forward to the updates on how he goes.

He's got a lot of muscling up to do, but he's already working correctly after two schooling sessions so I'm sure he will develop well soon :)
Got phone to cooperate now so here are some bad quality pictures from his session yesterday..
No more upside-down-ness

Love him! Hes too pretty to be a boy! Will I get to see him soon?? :D

He is a lot prettier than my buckskin mare :o people always call her 'him' ! So I'm sure their names will get mixed up haha. Yes you will! probably in about 3 weeks I will take him round the small course at BRC to introduce him to it :) Think HC finishes soon for school hols :( and I can only get transport once a fortnight or else I'd go Weston lawns unaff- but its on the wrong weekend!.

My grandma thinks it's gross because I kept his wolf teeth and I have them on my desk :D He's a plucky little thing- my coloured really does not like him at all, and will stand threatening him with his ears back over the fence (protective over little mare, he's never behaved like that before )- Oscar just puts his ears up and sniffs him all friendly ! bless.

I do find it amusing at feed time because he has no idea what all the fuss is about while the other horses kick their doors and neigh- he just looks dumbstruck as he doesn't get it ! then will leave half his feed (which isn't very big ) and comes back to the rest later
