It's another beautiful day.. not a cloud in the sky

Woke up to thick, thick fog here! But it does look like the sun is winning the battle a bit now!

I'm not due up at the yard until later, so thought I would treat him to a bit of a shampoo and set if it warms up!! The mud sets like concrete on his tummy and he won't let you brush it out (understandably!) - so I'll give him a shampoo with warm water!! Maybe a bit of mane trim as well :D

It's glorious here in Lincs, I'm off riding as preggers - not been too worried about it until the last few days but now I'm really really wanting to go out for a potter - MUST remember pony is tricky ex eventer who's had 3 months off work and I'm fat as back of a bus and with the balance of a toddler !
Oh but he might fancy a potter as much as I do !!!!!!!!

Yep! I got up at 6am so we could go for a walk before I had to shoot off :(

It's gorgeous when the sun comes up on chilly, frosty mornings

Glorious day here. Blue skies and warming up nicely. Will take rugs off today for a few hours so they can feel the sun on their backs for a while :D

I'm off work all week so will bring the youngster back into work I think. If you don't hear from me again you will know it didn't go well :p Seriously though it should be ok as she is quite a steady cob but she is only 4 and was lightly back last summer.

Hoping the sun stays for a good while so the ground can dry up loads *crosses fingers*

It's a beautiful day, just started it off with a great 10 mile run with my club and off upto the stables in a mo to go for a ride. Horses were put out at 8 in the mist, I'm sure they are enjoying the sunshine now.

Beautiful day here (for once!) - I took the TB out long-reining round the lanes and then came back and took my little rising 4 year old for a hack with a friend - she's 4 going on 14 in her head - far more bombproof than the TB and ten times as much fun! We went a way she hasn't been before - never batted an eyelid at anything - even past some roadworks without so much as a glance....I am NEVER selling this pony despite the fact that I am about a six inches too tall for her!

It's gorgeous here, had the shock of my life this morning when I woke up to blue skies!
I had a lesson first thing and only had the one layer on, then stayed outside to pamper my mare and clean all the tack / sort out the rugs :D The sun really does make a huge difference doesn't it?! x

Have had two beautiful days here. Rode my boy bareback yesterday (cant find a saddle to fit!) And my 5 year old granddaughter rode him on the lead rein today with the bareback pad and he was as good as gold :-)

Gorgeous day here too.. Spent the morning working the horses and tootling round the yard... Delaying the moment I had to go home to sort out the housework! Lol

Lovely day here too. Had my first long hack in over a month. Horses are out naked enjoying the sun. Looks like it will stay dry for a few days - dare I hope that the fields will dry out a bit!?

Lovely day yesterday and even better today. Had a longer than normal hack yesterday and dragged oh along on his bike today.
Hoping the sun will coax the grass to grow a little and repair the fields.

Gorgeous day here too, no wind, the sky is blue, the sun is shining, sunglasses are required - snow blindness sucks. Temp is -16C at 10am but forecast to go up to -8C :D

Sunny day but very cold wind here (far end of herefordshire). So no rugs off here.
Had a lovely hack out through the village and up onto the common via the forestry, really pleasant, but then on the way home, down a green lane felt the full blast of the wind.......still, it kept horsey on her toes.
Now, after a lovely hot bath, sitting here with a glass of wine(mixedwith lemonade) and thinking of getting the leg of lamb cooking ready for this evening!!

oh I had the most fabulous hack out this morning ... absolutely glorious, felt positively spring like!! got back and turned out the cobs naked in the sunshine, couldn't have been better!!! :D

Well, after my post this morning on this thread, I can now confirm that I had a lovely 2 hour hack this afternoon, although leaving the thermal leggings off and just going with jods was a slight mistake as that wind is definitely cold!! I think I'm going to sleep well tonight for sure!! Too much fresh air and exercise!!

Had a glorious hack out this afternoon, 30 c at 5pm. The Boy behaved impeccably despite hacking out with a cantankerous mare in season who didn't want anyone in her space , he kept a respectable distance and didnt have a hissy fit when the endurance horses went by in the opposite direction, and while he slacked off a little on occasion we were out for an hour - this is what I imagined horse ownership to be :-)

I went out for a fab ride on my old chap. We were out for 3 hours and went to somewhere I have wanted to go to for ages! He got very excited when we got to our destination but I think he neededa good blast as much as me! Considering our average ride is about an hour long he did well to so far and still have energy on the way back.

rugs were off for most of the day today - even my oldie, who feeds the cold, was naked.
unfortunately the riding school got to the outdoor before us so we ended up inside - boo.
forecast for the rest of the week is looking good - hope it stays like that so I can bath them on Wednesday :)

Yes a lovely day here too. Grey pony went out naked this morning and came in brown pony. But I got the worst of the mud off and we had a lovely ride. And it was still light at 5.30 :)
To think that last sunday we had sleet, snow and gales!

It was fabulous out today. Ponio's had a spring in their steps, kids were all happy and no one had cold feet !
The field is starting to dry out nicely so praying that the miserable winter we've had becomes a distant memory.

I went out on a hack in warm sunshine for over 2 hours, felt very unfit and now my hips feel ever so slightly dislocated! Lovely to think spring is well on the way.

big grins all round as we boxed up to the quantocks and went out for about 2.5 hours - lots of hills, canters, puddles to jump - lovely sunshine but cold in the wind - perfect riding weather really - no flies, no rain yipppeeeee .... long may it continue.

Lovely here today too (and yesterday). Had lovely if shortish hack today, but ended up spending the day at the yard getting lots of bits and pieces done (that had been put off in the bad weather).

We went for a lovely hack :) just before this pic was taken a herd of deer skipped off across the field :) hope the link works as on phone and can't preview
